I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 353

Chapter 353 Her Concern

He said he was meeting a client.

Harper secretly snorted.

Benjamin sensed Harper's displeasure and subconsciously held her hand more tightly. His reaction and expression seemed to be telling Harper he would explain later.

Dorcas smiled, "Benjamin, I didn't expect you to be hen-pecked now. I won't dare to ask you to meet again."

Benjamin gave a faint smile and said nothing.

Dorcas continued, "Ms. Mitchell, please don't get this wrong. Benjamin and I are business partners. The recent architectural designer competition was the first cooperation with Benjamin after I took over the Madison Group, so we would communicate more often. Ms. Mitchell, if you have any worries, we can have each other's number. Whenever I meet with Benjamin to discuss work, I will make a video call to you so that you two won't be upset."

Dorcas' words were very tactful. She didn't show any displeasure or sarcasm, but she looked completely frank and gave sincere suggestions.

However, Harper felt very uncomfortable hearing it.

But she didn't show it. She just smiled, looked at Benjamin, and finally set her eyes on Dorcas.

She said, "Ms. Madison, it's good advice, but I'm not that strict or unreasonable. It's just that Benjamin likes to exchange schedules with me. I've told him many times, but he never listened. Ms. Madison, you should know him better. Can you help me persuade him?"

Dorcas was subconsciously stunned for a moment and looked at Benjamin, only to see him smiling. He wasn't angry at all. Instead, he agreed with her words.

Dorcas and Lily couldn't see Benjamin gently scratching Harper's palm under the table as if telling her that Dorcas would be punished for confusing right and wrong.

Lily also smiled, "Ms. Madison, you may not know, but since Benjamin got married, he has been clingy to Harper. Can you believe that he often comes to Harper's company to check on her? Not to mention you, even I, his mom, can't believe it."

Of course, Dorcas didn't believe it, but Benjamin didn't refute it, which made her fall into thought and questioning.
