I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 357

Chapter 357 Sweet

Harper was taken aback, feeling somewhat helpless.

Benjamin's gaze remained fixed on her as he gently reminded her, "Get in the car. We can't stay here too long, okay?"

Harper thought to herself, "Is he really concerned about this?

It's just an excuse."

In the end, Harper got into the car. She lowered her head and fastened her seat belt. Then, the car headed forward.

It was quiet as they made their way back to the apartment, both lost in silence.

Neither of them brought up the topic of Dorcas again.

Harper told herself that this was just a small matter, and she shouldn't let it affect their relationship or sour the mood. More importantly, she had a competition to focus on and didn't have the extra energy to spare on other things.

The night before the competition officially began, Benjamin advised her to finish work early, saying, "Don't work overtime tonight, okay? Let's go out for dinner. You've been pouring all your time into the sketches recently, and it's not good for you, alright?"

Harper pressed her lips, instinctively wanting to refuse.

Seemingly sensing her thoughts, Benjamin spoke before she could. "Just think of it as keeping me company, alright?"

In the end, Harper agreed.

Benjamin took her to the Silver for dinner, just the two of them.

After the meal, he drove her to the riverside for a walk. They held hands, enjoying the quiet moment without exchanging words.

Walking along the riverbank, Benjamin led her to a cozy bar street, which created a relaxed ambiance.

Looking down at her, Benjamin suggested. "Want to go in?"
