I Saved A Mystery Billionaireac (Eudora) novel Chapter 1099

Given the uncertainty surrounding Alva's cause of death and that Eudora had not personally witnessed the crime scene, she could not shake the feeling that things were more complex than they appeared.

"I'm not sure," Colbert replied, running his hand through her hair, "Mind your own business. There's no need to meddle in matters that aren't your concern."

After hearing him, Eudora said, "I plan on going to her funeral tomorrow."

"Sure, I'll go with you," Colbert replied.

After their conversation, they retired to bed early that night.

The following morning, Eudora and Colbert got up, freshened up, and proceeded to the venue where Alva's funeral was being held.

Since the news of Alva's passing was kept under wraps, only a few people showed up for the funeral.

A continuous drizzle soaked the surroundings at the funeral as the gloomy sky exuded an indescribable heaviness, casting a sense of oppression.

Several people gathered under a tree on the northern hill of the cemetery, dressed in black attire and holding black umbrellas, standing before a gravestone.

Carrying their umbrellas, Eudora and Colbert made their way there.

Upon their arrival, Eudora spotted Glenn and Yvette side by side, holding hands. They, too, donned black attire and a flower in hand and appeared exhausted with haggard expressions. Glenn, in particular, seemed to have aged beyond his years overnight, with streaks of gray in his hair.

Eudora also noticed Jayleen, Stella, and Jada among the crowd gathered at the funeral site.

The trio were Alva's classmates and dear friends, with Jada being her best friend. Despite some minor conflicts, the news of Alva's passing left Jada inconsolable.

Derek and several friends who shared a good rapport with the Baldwin family were among the attendees.

"Eudora, why are you here?"

Jada, who had just wiped away her tears after placing a flower for Alva, turned around and spotted Eudora and Colbert approaching. Filled with frustration, she pointed at Eudora and angrily uttered, "Save your crocodile tears. Stop acting around here. You, out of everybody here, must be thrilled that Alva is gone."

Her angry words drew everyone's attention to them.

Stella, who had a bitter rivalry with Eudora, pointed directly at her and lashed out, "Get lost! You have no right to be here at Alva's funeral!"

"Why exactly did Eudora come here for?" someone in the crowd wondered aloud.

"Mr. Steele also decided to show up," another person interjected.
