"Colbert, why did you get up so early? It's only six o'clock. You can get some more sleep."
Seeing that Colbert was up, Mildred came out from the kitchen and chatted with him.
"I have slept enough."
"That's good. I prepared a toothbrush and towel for you. Go wash up." Mildred pointed to the things on the table and said to Colbert.
"Thank you, Mrs. Stanford."
Colbert was humble and polite, with a kind smile on his handsome face. This made him quite approachable, which was different from his usual vibe.
After washing up, Colbert strolled around the yard, listening to the crowing of cocks, the barking of dogs, and the humming of domestic pigs. It was quite an enjoyable taste of rural life.
Eudora's home was beside the road, with a small courtyard contained in a large courtyard. And next to it was a small reservoir.
It was an early autumn morning, and a cool breeze gently stirred the light mist over the water. Crystal dew rolled on the leaves and petals while birds were chirping. It was quite pleasant and relaxing.
"Colbert, is Eudora back yet? It's time for breakfast. Get her back to eat." Mildred said to him while wiping her hands with an apron. She had finished cooking and walked to the gate of the yard to look for Eudora.
"Okay. I'll go get her."
Colbert nodded and walked to the road. He looked around and saw Eudora jogging out there.
He walked towards her leisurely and couldn't help but smile to see her. She was in sportswear, and her ponytail swayed as she jogged, looking young and energetic.
Without even looking at Colbert, Eudora jogged past him and said angrily, "What are you doing here?"
