Eudora leaned against her chair, her legs on the fence beside the observatory. And from this angle, she could see thousands of stars in the night sky.
"So many stars. So beautiful."
Her restless heart gradually calmed down, and she looked quietly at the stars. "After coming to Kenison City, I really haven't seen the stars so quietly."
She suddenly raised her hand and pointed to the stars overhead. "Look! The seven brightest ones joined together are the Big Dipper."
"It's beautiful." Colbert echoed.
He put his arm on the back of the chair, and Eudora leaned back, her head resting right on his arm.
After saying that, Colbert lowered his head to the phone, edited a message, and then put the phone away.
"Will the stars in the sky be troubled?"
She sighed, casually asked, but inadvertently revealed that she had much on her mind.
Colbert looked at her. In the darkness, she did not know how gentle his eyes were.
"Every experience is a kind of training. When you get enough, you'll be invulnerable," Colbert paused and then said, "So, it's not all bad."
"Well, it makes sense."
Eudora nodded but then shook her head and tutted. "No wonder you are a successful businessman. Your eloquence is indeed good. I think it's a pity that you don't do pyramid selling."
Colbert's face was stiff, and then he shook his head and smiled bitterly.
