Eudora was used to their bickering, so she could not help but smile.
Then she said, "Mom and Dad, please help me carry my things."
She walked to the back of the car, opened the trunk, and took out everything inside, "Mom and Dad, here are your clothes and shoes, as well as some nutritional supplements. Take them in first. These are the things I bought for Mr. Robert. I'll send them to her."
"Okay. Hurry up and send it to Kevin. Tell him to come down. Let's have a reunion dinner."
Mildred reminded Eudora.
"Okay, Mom."
Eudora nodded and smiled and went straight to the back mountain with a few things to find Kevin.
The wind was strong in winter, especially on the mountain, where the cold wind howled ruthlessly past people's faces like sharp knives.
Eudora could not help muttering in her heart, "That old man, does he not feel cold at all living in the mountain all the time?"
She shivered from the cold and quickened her pace up the hill.
But when she walked around the small pond and reached the gate of Kevin's courtyard, the gate was locked.
Eudora put down her things and looked around the house, but Kevin was nowhere to be found.
She tried to call Kevin with her phone, but there was no signal.
Helpless, she had no choice but to sit on the milk box she was carrying, quietly waiting for Kevin to return.
Sitting at the door, bored, she looked around. Suddenly, she found many shoe prints on the ground at the entrance of Kevin's house.
The snow on the ground was already mostly trampled flat, but Eudora could still see the shoe prints.
Judging from the texture and size of those shoe prints, they belonged to around four people.
Kevin's house was in the back mountain. He was cold and generally did not like to converse with others. Hence, rarely anyone came to his house.
Both Kevin and Ansel were not tall and wore size seven shoes. However, these shoe prints were of at least size eight and above.
This meant that the owners of these footprints were at least 5'10" and above.
Eudora narrowed her eyes. She got up, walked forward, squatted on the ground, and carefully observed the shoe prints. She then found that there were at least three different sets of footprints that were above size eight.
