Colbert held her hand, yanked her into his arms, and rested his right hand around her waist. "It's not easy to find you, my silly girl. I can't just leave."
Eudora punched him hard on the chest a few times. "It's your fault for lying to me."
"I swear, I really didn't intend to lie to you."
"You did it regardless."
"Okay, I lied, and it's my fault. I am willing to accept any punishment." Colbert did some introspection and admitted his mistake sincerely.
"I will have to think about how to punish you." Eudora had a bright smile on her face.
As the two were chatting affectionately, someone cleared their throat from behind them.
They turned around to see Jervis and Colton standing there.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk... It's so early in the morning, and someone seems to be enjoying their time here with his babe," Colton teased with his arms folded around his chest, studying the two of them with great interest while leaning against the door frame.
Meanwhile, Jervis smiled, not saying a word.
Colbert shot Colton a menacing glance, feeling a little displeased after being cut short of his time with Eudora. In a grim tone, he spat, "Of course, a bachelor like you is bound to feel jealousy."
"Hehe. Yes, Colbert is right." Jervis, who was dressed in a leather jacket and leather pants, nodded in agreement.
"Bullies, the two of you are. Tch, this is no fun." Colton snorted in dismay and turned to exit the kitchen.
"Come back here!"
Seeing that he was about to leave, Colbert called out to him and pointed to the gnocchis in the pot. "The gnocchis are ready. Put them on a plate and serve them."
"Can't you guys do that yourselves?" Colton retorted.
As soon as he said that, Colbert glowered at him, his gaze full of warning.
It didn't take Colton even a second to admit defeat. With his head hung low, he walked into the kitchen, took a plate, and began to plate the gnocchis.
All the while, he muttered, "I've never done any chores in my life, so why do I have to slave away when I'm here?"
"It's an honor," Colbert answered casually.
"Forget it. Let me handle it. We shouldn't be bullying a young gentleman who has never experienced the hardships of the world," Eudora jested, making an ironic remark.
