At Starbucks.
Aria Liu was holding a cup of cappuccino and sipping it slowly. She kept on looking out of the window as if waiting for someone.
Suddenly, Charlotte Pan ran to her. She was panting while sitting in front of Aria, "Aria, Aria, I'm here."
Aria Liu quickly held Charlotte Pan's hand and asked, "Charlotte, why are you so late. I thought you're not coming anymore." She couldn't help but scowl when she added, "So, what have you learned?"
"Of course, as long as I asked people personally, I can definitely get anything I want to know," Charlotte Pan answered with confidence. Then she shouted to the waiter not far away from them, "Excuse me, I'd like to order a cup of latte!"
"Okay. Just a moment please," the waiter answered.
While Charlotte Pan was talking with the waiter, Aria Liu was so anxious that she continued to ask, "Charlotte, tell me quickly. I couldn't wait to hear everything you learned."
"Okay, okay, I'll tell you now," Charlotte Pan replied. She stared at Aria Liu's oval face. She suddenly realized that if Aria Liu put on some makeup, she would be extremely beautiful and charming.
"Just tell me quickly," Aria Liu said impatiently.
Charlotte Pan looked up to recall what she had heard and told Aria Liu, "At eight o'clock tonight...JY Restaurant, Table Eight. It seems that it's in a VIP area, not in the common dining area."
"It must be in the VIP Area. How could Mary possibly go to a common dining area?" Aria Liu agreed. Aria Liu seemed to be relieved. She released Charlotte Pan's hand and leaned against the chair. She was contemplating.
The waiter served Charlotte Pan's order. She immediately held the cup in her hands then asked, "Aria, what are you planning to do? Are you really going to ruin Mary's blind date?" "Of course! She pushed my mother on the stairs which caused her to be hospitalized for a long time," Aria Liu's face suddenly showed fury.
"Does she think she has the right to throw her weight around?" she added. "Who gave her the right to bully poor people?" Aria Liu's face darkened as she said those words. As much as possible, she didn't want to do something bad, much less ruining Mary's blind date. But Mary left her with no choice. Her mother was still in the ICU and they were still paying for the expensive medicines every day. She was worried about her mother and the expenses. She already owed a lot of money from many people. And now the hospital was forcing her to pay for the hospital bills but she only had 100 left. She might even need Charlotte to pay for her coffee.
Charlotte Pan said in low voice, "Just a few days ago when you saw him on the cover of a business magazine, you said that you wanted to marry his kind -- handsome and successful. But now you are pretending that you don't know him at all." She really couldn't understand Aria Liu's way of thinking now. Was she just carried away by her anger?
Aria Liu didn't notice that Charlotte Pan was whispering to her because she was drown in her thoughts.
"Charlotte, do you think it would be easy for me to sneak into the JY Restaurant? Do you think no one will catch me?" she asked. It seemed that she really didn't hear the words Charlotte just whispered to her ear a little while ago. She began to make her plans.
Charlotte Pan asked in a worried voice, "Aria, are you sure you really want to go there?" She looked at Aria Liu's face thinking that if she would really go there, she must help her.
Aria Liu tightly gritted teeth and replied, "Yes. I'll do everything to avenge my mother." It seemed that she was really determined.
"Okay, I'll help you. One of my friends is working in the kitchen of that restaurant. I can ask him to let you get inside without others noticing it. But you have to be extremely careful. I've heard that there are a lot of guards in that hotel and I don't want you to be thrown out."
