She was already running very late. Now, with Chow teasing her like this, her hopes to arrive at school on time was completely shattered.
However, after going through a roller-coaster of emotions just now, she didn't care if she was late anymore.
Vivian held her backpack tightly. Subconsciously, she was using the small backpack as a shield to protect herself.
Chow's expression was uncertain as his sharp gaze stared straight ahead.
Even though she was not the centre of his attention anymore, Vivian still felt the strong aggression radiating from his body.
It made her feel suffocated in the small car.
The road ahead seemed too long. Vivian never knew that a ten-minute journey to school could be so uncomfortable.
She felt relieved when she finally saw the school gates ahead. She held her backpack tightly again and got ready to alight from the car.
However, she didn't expect Chow to drive her directly into the school grounds.
"Brother Chow, you can drop me off here." Although classes had already started, Vivian still dared not to be too high-profile.
She had been attending this school even before living with the Howard family. However, she had no idea where the students heard of the rumour that her mother was a mistress. Ever since then when she was in junior high, Vivian had been despised by everyone.
That was why she still dared not flaunt in front of the others even though she had been with the Howard family for two years because of Uncle Dylan's will. Usually, when the driver sent her to school, she always asked him to drop her off two streets away.
Even so, there were still rumours going around that her mother was nothing but a gold-digger.
Now that Chow had sent her straight into campus, she really couldn't imagine how much worse the rumours would get.
