Chapter 1259
Farley smirked, saying, “Well, duh.”
Hannah retorted. “Don’t get too cocky Right, Mam?”
Pandora chuckled, “Farley will have plenty of options in the future. But I think it’s up to him. He can go wherever he wants.”
Hannah sighed, “Mom, Farley and I are both your kids with Jeo. Why is he so good at studying while I was always a slow learner? I barely scraped by with a bachelor’s degree.”
“Everyone has their strengths. Your academic performance may not be stellar, but you have strong leadership and empathy. That’s why you won an award for your acting. even though you didn’t graduate from a acting school.” Pandora explained.
Pandora was never good at giving compliments, so Hannah rarely got praised by her. Thus, Hannah always thought Pandora didn’t think she was good enough.
But today, she realized she was indeed the best daughter in Pandora’s eyes.
Comelia was right. Kids should communicate more with their parents. They shouldn’t think their parents don’t love them and feel afraid to come home.
Thinking of this, Hannah remembered Cornelia was still in the study, “Mom, Farley, I have a friend here at home. Let’s go meet her.”
“What friend?” Pandora asked.
Hannah ran to the study, opened the door, and found Cornelia engrossed in her drawing, not eavesdropping on their conversation. Hannah called her, “Nelly”
Cornelia looked up and saw Hannah looking happy, guessing that she must have sorted things out with her family Hannah pulled her along and introduced, “This is Pandora and Farley, my mom, and my brother.”
Pandora glanced at Cornelia standing at the door and guessed, “You must be Cornelia, right?”
“Hello. How did you know I’m Cornelia?” Cornelia asked.
*Hannah mentioned you. She rarely talks about her friends to us, but you’re one of them.” Pandora said.
“When did I mention Nelly?” Hannah asked.
Pandora replied, “You may not remember, but I do.”
“Really?” Hannah was surprised.
Over the years, Hannah and Pandora’s relationship wasn’t close. Whenever they talked on the phone, it was just polite chitchat. She even forgot she had meritioned Cornelia She forgot, but Pandora remembered
Did this mean Pandora cared more about her than it seemed? Maybe.
Pandora naturally liked Hannah’s friend. “Nelly, I brought some homemade cornbread and Mexican hot sauce. I don’t know if you like them. I know you’re from Rosenberg. You guys have cornbread there too, but the way you make it might be different from ours.”
Hannah exclaimed in surprise, “Mom, how did you know Nelly is from Rosenberg?”
“I know a lot of things Pandora smirked.
“That’s great. I love it. Can I help you make them?” Cornelia’s eyes sparkled.
“No need You guys go have fun. I can handle it.” Pandora said. With that, she turned and headed to the kitchen.
Farley looked at Cornelia and said, “You’re very pretty.”
“You’re handsome too.” Cornelia complimented
Farley blushed, “So, do you have a boyfriend?”
