About half an hour later, Hannah smoothly arrived at the destination's parking lot. She was dressed conservatively, taking the elevator from the basement to the 26th floor. A lot of people came in, but no one recognized her.
Soon, the elevator arrived at the 26th floor. As soon as she stepped out, she sensed danger. The corridor was empty, but it felt like countless eyes were watching her. She looked up to see several cameras in this short hallway. With each step she took, the cameras swiveled to follow her.
Yep, her gut instincts were spot on. Daniela probably had eyes on her every move already.
Hannah was somewhat puzzled. Why did Daniela insist on opposing her? If Daniela cared about her past with Steven, then she shouldn't be with Steven. Since Daniela had made up with Steven, it meant she didn't care about his past. If she didn't care, then why was she picking on her? Did she owe them anything?
When she thought about this, Hannah felt choked up. If this continued, Daniela might provoke her even more. So she decided to seize this opportunity to settle the matter once and for all.
Just as Hannah reached the door, it swung open from the inside. The door was opened by a man in a suit wearing sunglasses. She couldn't see his expression, but she felt that he was sizing her up. However, the man quickly averted his gaze and stepped aside, "Ms. Hannah, please come in. The lady has been waiting for you for quite some time."
Hannah stepped inside and sure enough, Daniela was there.
Daniela was sitting at a coffee table in front of a floor-to-ceiling window, sipping her coffee gracefully. Even though she heard Hannah, she didn't bother to acknowledge her.
The man who opened the door didn't say a word. After ushering Hannah in, he silently withdrew.
Hannah looked around to confirm that only the two of them were in the room. She then took a seat across from Daniela, "Ms. Daniela."
Before she could finish, a cup of hot coffee was thrown in her face. The coffee was scalding hot, instantly reddening Hannah's face. But she didn't seem to feel the pain, instead laughing at Daniela, "Ms. Daniela, what on earth are you doing?"
Daniela stared at the beautiful face in front of her. She had just humiliated her, but Hannah could still laugh, "You bitch, did I ask you to sit? You sit without my permission, so this coffee is your punishment."
Hannah's face was full of coffee, but she didn't wipe it off. She looked at Daniela, even managed a faint smile, "Ms. Daniela, is this all the manners your family taught you?"
Daniela chuckled, "Manners are for people, not for trash like you."
