Briana was pissed off, “Why can’t he call Cornella back? She’s his wife. He might be caught up with stuff, but what’s more important than his wife?” 

Dr. Dawson replied, “Marc is in the hospital. He’s not well” 

Briana was shocked. “What happened to my brother? Is it serious?” 

Knowing Marc, he would’ve definitely called Cornelia back if it wasn’t serious. 

“He’s in a coma right now,” Dr. Dawson replied. 

Upon hearing this, Briana was anxious, “TII go explain to Cornelia. Which hospital are you in? I’m coming now.” 

“No need for you to come. I’m here with Marc. And don’t tell Comelia, Marc doesn’t want her to know,” said Dr. Dawson. 

This made Brana even more funous, “My brother is lying unconscious and you didn’t inform us. I didn’t blame you for that. Now I want to see him, and you’re stopping me? Do you think you’re closer to him? Let me tell you, Cornelia is the closet person to my brother. They’re legally married, and no matter what happens, you should tell her” 

Dr. Dawson replied coldly, “Now you remember that you’re the closest ones to Marc? How many dangers has he faced these years, do you know? Who was with him when he was in danger, do you know? We were the ones who always stood by his side, protecting him!” 

With that, Dr. Dawson hung up. 

Brana, listening to the busy tone, felt something was off, but couldn’t pinpoint what. Now wasn’t the time to ponder though. She needed to placate Cornelia and not let her worry. 

So, she immediately called Comelia back, “Comelia, I just spoke to Jeremy’s colleague. He told me Jeremy didn’t reply because his phone was stolen and he hasn’t had a chance to replace it yet” 

“Is that really the case?” asked Comelia. 

“If you don’t believe me, I can give you his colleague’s number. You can ask him yourself, replied Briana. 

Hearing this, Cornelia was finally relieved, “That’s fine, as long as he didn’t run into some kind of trouble.” 

He’s definitely not okay! Your intuition was spot on! 

Although Bnana wanted to tell Cornelia the truth, she didn’t want her to worry and made up a story, “Comelia, he’s a grown man, what could possibly happen to -him? Be honest, do you think he’s run off with some other woman if he doesn’t contact you for a day?” 

Cornelia replied, “Not really…” 

After giving it some thought, Briana decided to tell Cornelia about Marcus. Cornelia was her sister–in–law, and if everyone kept Cornelia in the dark about Marcus. she’d feel awful when she eventually finds out.
