Chapter 747
Abigail guessed Marcus must have dropped the ball at a crucial moment, and got bitten by Nelly as a result. Nelly was usually gentle and friendly to everyone, but if someone got on her nerves, they’d see her true colors she was actually quite a force to be reckoned

“Sweetie, you watch some TV. I’m going to check on Nelly.” Abigail gave Nash a heads up and went alone to Cornelia’s room.
She knocked on the door and then walked in. “Nelly, what were you two doing in here?”
Comelia was buried in her blanket, with only her feet showing.
Hearing Abigail’s voice, she wrapped herself tighter, “I’m not telling, it’s too embarrassing.”
Abigail, “So, did Marcus choke at the worst possible moment?”
Comelia, “I told you I’m not going to spill the beans, so stop guessing. It’s pointless.”
Abigail, ‘So you’re just going to hide in your room and avoid everyone? My boyfriend is here, didn’t you say you wanted to meet him? Hurry up and check him out for me. Let’s see if he’s someone I can spend my life with.”
Comelia, “Leave first, I get ready and come out.”
Abigail, ‘Look at you, hurry up! As the host, we can’t keep our guests waiting.”
“Mm.” Comelia muttered in response. After Abigail left and the door was closed, she finally came out of her blanket, her face flushed. Earlier, after she told Roman that Marcus was her husband, Marcus acted like he’d lost his mind. Before she had time to react, he’d swept her off her feet and taken her back to the room.
He started kissing her, but for some reason, they ended up on the bed, and then… Thankfully, she bit him in time, bringing him back to his senses before anything else happened.
After biting him, she felt something was off. She noticed his body was tense, not soft at all…
She wasn’t sure yet, could he or couldn’t he?
Comelia cooled down under the air conditioning, her face returning to normal, before she went out.
Stepping out of the room, multiple pairs of eyes were on her.
Abigail had a mischievous grin on her face, “Darling, this is Nelly, the friend I always talk about, my best friend.”
Nash stood up and extended his hand to Cornelia, “Ms. Stewart, nice to meet you!”
“Nice to meet you!” Cornelia quickly shook his hand.
She couldn’t tell if she was being overly sensitive, but she felt like Nash intentionally touched her palm.
She gave him an extra glance, but he averted his gaze and didn’t look at her again.
She thought, maybe she was overthinking it.
Abigail directed, “Nelly, you start clearing the table. Honey, you go wash your hands and help bring the food.”
