Hannah said, “Enough of that, let Cornelia tell us how she and her hubby got together” 

Everyone was eager to know, and Cornelia didn’t hold back, “My husband and I were set up by our grannies. We got married the first time we met.” 

Rosie said. “You’re a real daredevil, marrying a guy you’ve just met.” 

Hannah said, “Rosie, hush. Let Cornelia keep going”

Cornelia continued, “After we got the marriage certificate, he handed me a bank card, said he had stuff to do, and left. He didn’t contact me after that, and I didn’t really care. I just went on with my work, even forgot what he looked like. So, a year later, when I saw him at the company, he seemed familiar, but I couldn’t place him. It wasn’t until the other day when I was packing to move and found our long–lost marriage certificate that I realized Marcus was my hubby who disappeared right after the wedding”

Hannah poked Cornelia’s forehead, “You can’t remember his face, his name, but you remember you’re married?” 

Cornelia said, “He registered under the name Jeremy, not Marcus.” 

Hannah and Rosie asked in unison, “Did he use a different name because he was afraid you’d be after his money?” 

Cornelia said, “No, he’s not like that. Because of some special reasons, he’s been using two identities. He didn’t mean to fool me. He wanted to see me as soon as he returned home, but our paths just didn’t cross.” 

Hannah said, “Always defending him.” 

Cornelia smiled and said, “He’s my husband, what can I do?” 

Hannah said, “Your husband is a good man, he respects your decisions in all things. You should stand up for him. Cornelia, you’re gonna be very happy.” 

Cornelia asked, “Isn’t mutual respect in a marriage normal?” 

Hannah said, “Not every man knows respect. You’ve found such a good man. Cherish him.” 

Rosie nodded furiously, “I second that, I totally agree with Hannah.”
