A hint of mockery flashed across his eyes as he smirked. “Didn’t you just tell me she’s in critical condition? How did she recover so quickly?”

Larry’s face gave away how uncomfortable he felt. He had never expected Yvonne to orchestrate such a scene, that too in collusion with the doctors.

“Sir, why don’t you go and see Yvonne?” 

As he was about to turn around, Larry stopped him and said, “Mr. Hawkins, you should still see her! If you don’t, who knows what she will do next time.”
