Invincible Heir novel Chapter 145

Baron had just walked up when eight men surrounded him in an instant.

These men had powerful auras. At least more powerful than James’ men.

“Please come with us, Mr. Owen!”

The brute in the lead suddenly spoke.

He had a fleshy face, intense brows over wide glaring eyes, and heavy facial hair, with an interconnected beard and mustache on his chin and lip forming a classic goatee.

Behind him, a white Toyota Prado was stopped, with its doors open.

Baron didn’t say a word. He shot a mild look at the man with the goatee and got in himself.

The bearded brute was slightly taken aback. No wonder the family had sent them here. Their aura alone could already say a lot about them.

Twenty minutes later, the car stopped at the doorstep of the Dynasty Nightclub.

The eight men only stopped when they had gone all the way to the top floor, and the innermost compartment.

The bearded man knocked on the door. “He’s here, boss!”

It took the door opening for Baron to finally realize who it was that had wanted him there. It was Jerome.

When Baron had forcefully bought Domom SPA out from under Jimmy, it’d taken Jerome days to find out about it and send men to the spa, but Charles easily sent his bodyguards to the hospital, and Baron gave him a vicious drubbing.

“I finally got you here, then, Baron!”

Jerome looked coolly at Baron.

He sat on the sofa, a beauty on either side. Behind him, a towering bodyguard about 6’5’’ stood there like an iron tower.

The tall bodyguard’s cold gaze fell on Baron, who simply remained calm, but that was enough for the man to feel heavy pressure.

“This kid’s strong!”

The bodyguard thought to himself. That was his first impression of Baron.

From start to finish, Baron only shot him a glance, then turned his eyes back on Jerome.

“You sent eight men to ‘invite’ me here, Mr. Wilson. I’m flattered.”

Baron smiled sarcastically and sat on the sofa next to Jerome.

Jerome narrowed his eyes, a bit of sharpness in his gaze, while Baron looked at him peacefully, giving off the impression of a predator at rest.

“I have to admit, baron, I’m getting interested in you.”

The corners of Jerome’s mouth curled up as he slowly spoke.

“I’m straight, so don’t get any ideas,” Baron chuckled.

Jerome cocked an eyebrow, then loosened, his hands pinching lewd spots on the girls beside him. “Leave us!”

The two women left, leaving Baron inside the compartment with Jerome and three brutes behind him.

“I’ve looked into you. Aside from five years of military service, you’re nothing special. Five years ago, you were just some poor bastard going around begging over five hundred thousand.

“Right, and of course – you’re the exiled son of the Owen family of Donas!

“If the Owen family really did have your back, I’d probably be afraid, but the point is they don’t. I’m surprised you even kept the Owen name.

“An idiot like James might find himself intimidated, but not me!”

Baron’s relationship with the Owen family was no secret. It wasn’t surprising that Jerome could find that out.
