Noah squinted and assessed Michael. After a while, he said, "Thank you for telling me."

"You're welcome."

After seeing Michael off, Noah went to the reception to ask about the situation. After confirming that Joseph was in the building, he immediately instructed security to head to Chloe's office.

Meanwhile, inside, Chloe said firmly, "Stop this. I trust Noah, and even if he had any past connection with Duskfall, I'm willing to forgive him."

Noah pushed the door open. All of the security guards were standing in a corner, looking cowed and defeated.

Frowning, Noah said, "Mr. Joseph, as a gentleman, you shouldn't force a lady to fall in love with you. Your relationship with Coco has ended, so why must you do this to yourself? It's so unsightly."

Joseph glared at Noah. "You know best why Chloe and I parted ways. I'll reveal everything you've done one by one. Just wait."

He knew Noah was involved in more than one thing, thus he still had hidden cards up his sleeve. Vanya had been cautious not to reveal everything, but he had a way to force her to spill the beans.

Noah's gaze fell on a recording pen on the desk. He asked Chloe gently, "Can I listen to it?"

Chloe hesitated for a moment before replying, "Sure."

After listening to the recording, Noah heaved a silent sigh of relief. As long as it was not about Chloe’s child, he could still find a way to justify himself.

But before he could say anything, Chloe said gently and understandingly, "The past is in the past. Regardless of the truth, I won't get mad at you. Just promise me you won't hide anything from me in the future."
