Blinking, Chloe asked, "A man's lover? You mean the kind I'm thinking of?"

"Yes. A man," Noah replied calmly.

Her lips twitched, and she seemed puzzled. "Seriously? He doesn't strike me as that kind of person. How could he..."

She had read some reports about Michael. He came from a wealthy family, and his journey to fame was inspirational. It was hard to believe that he would compromise himself like that.

Sensing Chloe's doubt, Noah continued, "Some people are like that. You can't judge a book by its cover."

"Maybe you're right." Chloe shrugged. "Xavia’s that way too."

She did not hold much attachment to Michael and was simply curious about it. He was just Exotic Star's cooperative partner. If things did not work out with him, they could replace him.

Noah watched Chloe return to her bedroom before heading to the bathroom to freshen up. The large mirror reflected a sophisticated and gentle young man with impeccable features and a warm, amiable demeanor. But upon closer scrutiny, the smile on his face appeared somewhat forced and lacked genuine warmth.

Early the next morning, Chloe went to work as usual. Shortly after the morning meeting, Michael showed up. She was surprised and had her secretary bring two cups of coffee.

"I watched the live stream yesterday. Why didn't you let me appear on camera? Did I do something wrong?" Michael humbly inquired.

Chloe recalled what Noah said last night and felt a little embarrassed to look into Michael’s eyes. "After some discussion, Exotic Star decided to use our in-house livestreamer. Suddenly changing hosts might not sit well with the audience. So, we’ve decided to stick with our in-house livestreamer."

"I see. Well then, if there's a chance, I'd like to give it a try. After all, I've been a livestreamer before and I won't charge any fees," Michael said, not willing to give up on the girl he had grown fond of. He hoped to build a relationship with her through work. Besides, there were two other high-quality men around her, so he had to seize every opportunity he could.
