Jojo and Coco's Unexpected Love novel Chapter 851

Joseph replied emotionlessly. "She didn't come."

Vanya was taken aback. She hesitated for a moment and asked, "Why not? Doesn't she want to know about her child's whereabouts?"

"Does that concern you?"

Vanya choked, but she soon came around and replied sarcastically, "Of course it concerns me. What if you two have a falling out? What if you break your promise after I tell you everything?"

Compared to Joseph, she trusted Chloe more since she knew how cold-blooded Joseph was. If he was a kind man, he would not have locked her up at Imperium for five years.

Joseph gave her a meaningful glance and pulled out a stack of items from the drawer under his desk. He placed them on the table and said, "Here’s the visa for you to leave the country, some cash, and an ID. You have ten minutes to decide whether you'll talk or not."

Vanya was shocked. She hurried over to pick them up, but she stumbled and nearly fell to the floor. She steadied herself and trembled as she picked up the coveted ID card with a completely new name written on it.

It was a name entirely her own. With this new name, she could bid farewell to her past and start anew. She thought she would never get this chance in her life, but it was now presented right before her.

Tears welled up in Vanya's eyes. With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, she said, "I'll tell you, but you have to arrange a flight for me to leave the country. I'll tell you everything I know before I board the plane."

Honestly, she did not think Joseph would agree to her request. After all, their relationship had never been one of cooperation. If it were not for her knowledge of those secrets and that she had worked for the Duskfall, Joseph would not have let her survive until now.

"Okay," Joseph swiftly agreed.

After hanging up the phone, Joseph immersed himself in tomorrow's work.

After a sleepless night, Joseph departed at six the next morning. He drove himself to the memorial park. Before leaving, Harold handed him a bottle of fine wine from his collection and said, "Take this to my comrade. He loved drinking this."

"Sure," Joseph responded, looking at Harold's graying hair. He paused for a moment and continued, "I’ll pay my respects properly. Stay home for the next few days. I've reinforced the security measures and arranged for more bodyguards around the mansion."

"I can barely walk a few steps without running out of breath. Where could I possibly go?" Harold grumbled with some dissatisfaction. His tone then turned serious as he said, "When are you going to deal with Xavia? The situation I'm in now is all because of her. Otherwise, why would I need you to go on my behalf?"
