Vince's fingers trembled as he called Joseph again but to no avail. He shook his head and pushed away the thoughts inside his head. He convinced himself that Joseph was just too busy to answer his call.
As Vince calmed himself, he honked the horn several times and rolled down the car window to yell at the vehicle ahead that was blocking the way. "It's a green light! Are you blind?! If you don't go now, I'll get a tractor to tow you away!"
"Damn you!" A voice of protest came from the car ahead, and Zoelle's face appeared out of the window. "You're the blind one here! Can't you see that there’s traffic ahead?!"
"It’s you." Vince was taken aback.
Zoelle froze for a moment and chuckled. "And it's you, Mastiff.”
Vince was anxious and did not have time to chat with her. He stared at the road conditions ahead.
Sensing something unusual from his tense expression, Zoelle asked seriously, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Vince replied. However, he realized that taking a doctor with him might be a good idea since Joseph might get injured fighting alone.
"Can you do me a favor?"
"What favor?" She raised an eyebrow, recalling how Vince had protected her at the bar previously.
"My boss might’ve been in a car accident. We're not sure about the extent of his injuries, but he might need your help," Vince said, withholding from her the whole story.
Hearing his words, Zoelle remembered the fight between Noah and Joseph a couple of days ago because of Chloe. She nonchalantly said, "Sure. Where did your boss get in an accident? Take me and I’ll take a look at him."
Considering Joseph's status and position, he should have a professional driver who has undergone specialized training. The probability of having a car accident was relatively low. She knew that the real situation was not as simple as Vince had said.
