She could smell the refreshing and pleasant scent of cedar on him, feel the warmth and strength of his chest, hear his deep and pleasant voice, and feel his uncontrollable surge of love.
The store manager and the manager quickly brought out several sets of clothes for Nathael to choose from
Nathael glanced at the clothes briefly, then turned to look at Maggie.
Maggie remained frozen, feeling like her mind wasn’t her own anymore, as if it had all succumbed to the enchantment of Nathael’s voice.
“Maggie?” Nathael spoke, reminding her.
Because Joseph and others were present, he only called her by her current name.
Maggie snapped back to reality, her cheeks burning intensely. As she turned her head, she saw the group of people in the store looking at her with kindness in their eyes.
With her cheeks flushed, she carefully examined the suits chosen by several people. Ultimately, she selected a set of gemstone black suits paired with a white shirt with subtle rose patterns. Additionally, she chose a red and blue plaid bow tie.
“Try this one,” Nathael said decisively, without hesitation.
It wasn’t until he entered the dressing room that Maggie came back to her senses, her lips still lingering with the warmth from earlier.
He only lightly kissed her, completely different from the wildness of the night before, restrained and tentative.
Yet, despite being in the presence of others, Maggie still felt somewhat embarrassed.
“Ms. Adam, shall I take a few photos for you?” The photographer eagerly suggested it, itching to start snapping away.
“Sure,” Maggie responded graciously, without any hesitation.
On the other side, while Maggie posed for several shots, Vanessa couldn’t help but furrow her brows as she glanced in Maggie’s direction.
The woman’s appearance was too stunning, like a cold and glamorous night–blooming flower. As soon as she appeared, she stole the spotlight from the entire room, making everyone seem dim in comparison. What made Vanessa even more jealous was Nathael’s blatant and extreme favouritism towards her.
Vanessa forced a smile and turned to Joseph, saying, “Joseph? Which one do you think I should try on

He even felt that he would eventually marry her, despite harbouring thoughts of using her.
But it seemed like he had underestimated her beauty. Unlike the gentle and delicate Vanessa, Maggie was more like an unattainable celestial being, cold and aloof yet possessing her tenderness.
Is she really going to marry Nathaelt
Joseph felt an indescribable sense of suffocation in his heart. He had always thought that once Maggie left him, she wouldn’t find anyone better than him. But now, the presence of Nathael felt like a glaring slap to his face, bluntly reminding him of his miscalculations.
“Joseph…. Joseph” Vanessa called several times, but Joseph seemed lost in his thoughts, never hearing her
voice.
Joseph’s gaze fell on Maggie, and he couldn’t help but swallow hard.
“Maggie…”
With crimson corners in her eyes, Vanessa was on the verge of tears, her anger almost bringing them forth directl
Just moments ago, when she emerged in her wedding gown, though Joseph had offered a compliment, his demeanour then and now were like night and day.
Vanessa grabbed his arm, pulling with enough force to snap Joseph back to reality.
He turned his head and met a pair of reddened eyes.
Vanessa choked up as she spoke. “Are you still thinking about Maggie?”
Vanessa knew she shouldn’t have said those words.
Because from the beginning, it was she who had tried every means to seduce Joseph and maintain a relationship with him.
