Let's Start All Over Again, Shall We (Maggie and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 380

Chapter 380 The Last Straw

Sierra snapped out of her stupor, her heart filled with anxiety.

Should I say it?

Or should I keep quiet?

She had resolved her decision, yet it appeared she sought a righteous cause to validate it.

This isn’t something I can’t say.

The Camerons betrayed me first. They didn’t even bother bailing me out after I’d suffered. They turned their backs on me first!

Fine, then I’ll respond in kind.

Nathael, recognising Sierra’s vulnerability and having little patience with her, wasted no time. Rising abruptly, he signalled his departure.

“I’ll spill it! I’ll spill it!”

While her recollection was vague, growing up amidst the Camerons, she absorbed numerous conversations, though she hadn’t always paid them heed. Despite their fuzziness, the details were abundant.

“My dad… He cut corners in various projects, resulting in fatalities!”

“And my uncle, managing a construction site, covered up a collapse that claimed lives years ago, quashing any further inquiry!”

In her frenzy, Sierra spilled out a mix of fact and fiction, grasping at anything she could recall.

Patiently, Nathael absorbed her torrent of words for nearly half an hour. When it became evident that her ramblings yielded little, he rose.

“Mr. Harris… Please, you promised to help me! I told you everything I knew,” Sierra pleaded desperately. Nathael’s cold chuckle filled the room as he spoke in his deep voice, “Ms. Cameron, don’t worry.”

Though his words should have brought solace, Sierra found herself unsettled by the frostiness in his

gaze, a sudden wave of unease washing over her.

As Nathael drove away, watching the snow cascade from the darkened sky, a lingering unease clung to him.

He couldn’t pinpoint the cause, but a sense of disquiet had been gnawing at him lately. It was as if buried. memories and overlooked chies clamoured for attention, threatening to disrupt his fragile peace.

Despite the scant utility of Sierra’s revelations, Nathael found solace in the notion of a focused

he mused, hoping to uncover truths hidden in the shadows.

Ronald and his father possessed a knack for stealth and precision, evading detection with skillful finesse. Despite the challenge, Nathael was determined to dismantle the Camerons‘ facade.

In the hazy realm between sleep and wakefulness, Maggie sensed a comforting presence enveloping her. Though her instinct urged retreat, she found herself ensconced in an unyielding embrace, ensnared by its strength.

Maggie grumbled with irritation, her brow furrowing, yet eventually relented. Fortunately, before long, his warmth enveloped her, casting a comforting glow.

This time, Maggie leaned in willingly, met by Nathael’s smiling eyes as he tenderly kissed her forehead. “Goodnight, Nana,” he murmured.

The following morning, dawn broke carly.

Maggie roused from sleep, not overly early, leisurely basking in the morning light as she reached for her phone. However, her demeanour shifted abruptly upon glancing at the screen.

Twitter buzzed with messages regarding the Camerons, as if the platform had transformed into their personal arena, teeming with intrigue.

Sierra allegedly kidnapped and tried to murder Maggie.
