Chapter 78 He Missed Her
When those words came out, Maggie was stunned for a few seconds. Meanwhile, Nathael, opposite her, fell silent.
Dmn it! I’m done!
Why do I have such a big mouth?
I dared to make a dominant and influential person in Aquapolis like him kneel to me. Am I crazy?
Without Nathael saying anything, Maggie felt if she would take a mile if she gave her an inch!
“Maggic.”
After a moment of silence, Nathael suddenly chuckled.
“Uhm? What… what’s the matter?” Maggie was a bit uneasy. She felt he might be so angry that he wanted. to kill her.
“Are you at home?” Nathael couldn’t help but light a cigarette. The pale smoke rises, blurring the outline of a man, softening the coldness on his face, showing a hint of indulgence.
“Not really…” Maggie spoke softly, wondering if he was coming over to deal with her.
Nathael chuckled. “Are you scared?”
“No. I’m scared of you actually coming over to kneel before me. Maggie pouted stubbornly.
She couldn’t back down just because of a few words from him.
“Then you wait.” Nathael’s eyes darkened. He took a few deep drags of his cigarette, extinguished it, put on his coat, and walked out.
Maggie was feeling uneasy, so she hurriedly got up from the table and ran to the window, unable to help but say, “Um… it’s raining outside.”
“I know,” Nathael replied in a deep voice without any extra words.
“But I’m about to sleep,” Maggie said absentmindedly.
She stood by the window, wearing a loose–fitting t–shirt, exposing her two slender and symmetrical legs. Her bare feet, now restless, played with slippers, unable to explain what was bothering her.
Perhaps it was the memory of his cold expression last time that made her a little scared, or maybe it was the burning sensation on her bottom that made her feel embarrassed and annoyed, not wanting to see him.
But under this uneasiness, there was still a sense of anticipation, as if it was trying to break free from the constraints of the night, becoming a sprout soaked in rainwater, breaking through the soil, tinged with water droplets and vibrant green.
‘I’ll take a look at you and then leave,” He said in a warm and soothing voice, with a deep and clean tone that sounded like the most pleasant voice in the world.

“Okay, Maggie’s throat tightened. Her heartbeat was slightly abnormal.
What does he want to see?
What’s good to see about me?
After getting in the car, Nathael quickly held a brief video conference for two unfinished projects, then called Henry and signed a few documents before finally getting some free time.
He turned to look at the rainy night outside the window. The night was dark and dense, pouring rain weaving a dense curtain of rain, like some white mist.
The street lamps emitted a warm yellow, soft halo in the night, and the whole city seemed to quiet down. amidst the hustle and bustle.
Nathael couldn’t help but imagine what she looked like at this moment, probably in a warm room wrapped in a blanket, watching TV or holding a coffee cup while rushing to meet a deadline.
Yes, he missed her.
It had been many days since he last saw her, but it wasn’t really that long compared to the past. He always seemed to be thinking about her, but the longing was particularly strong at that moment.
So strong that he didn’t hesitate to push aside his work and endure an hour–long journey on a rainy night. just to see her.
The man bore the chill of the rainy night, with water stains on his shoulders. His deep eyes gazed at h
These days were too busy, filled with the Herschire Cultural Park, the school graduation project, and a few private projects under Gianna’s name. Maggie was busy all day long.
