Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 1914

"What?" Ralph stopped in mid-air, staring at Wilbur in shock. "Is… Is that the power of light?"

"You're absolutely right," Wilbur roared as a shield of light formed, spreading out quickly. Ralph's tentacles wilted the second they came into contact with the barrier as he retreated with all his might. "Please, please don't do this! I'll die without my essence of life! I don't want to die!"

"But you were going to kill me just now!"

"I don't want to die! Please, sir! Please forgive me!"

Ralph bowed profusely to Wilbur, and the shield of light stopped growing in size as Wilbur said, "Alright. If you want to live, I can forgive you, but you need to promise me two things. One: hand the purple potion over. Two: you're coming with me to see Barney."

"That's no problem at all as long as you don't kill me. I'll do anything you want, sir."

Ralph's figure grew smaller and smaller, eventually returning to his regular form. He opened his mouth and took out a tube of purple potion, passing it to Wilbur. "It's yours now, sir."

Wilbur took the tube from Ralph, heaving a sigh of relief. "Is this another special virus like David?"

Ralph paused for a beat. "No, sir. This is a viroid, not a special virus like David. The viroid was invented by the seventh civilization on Earth and the aliens. They took their most powerful research and turned them into viroids. The truth is this octopus viroid is on a different level of existence from David. So, David's more powerful than the viroid."

"Alright. I'll take this, then. You're coming with me now. We're going to see Barney."

Wilbur turned to leave, but Ralph threw himself onto the ground. "Sir, please wait. I have one more request."

"Hm? What is it?"

Ralph looked like he was in immense pain. "Since Light Valley has abandoned me, there won't be anywhere I can live in Cametra anymore. If I can help you take Barney out, I hope you'll let me go. Let me leave Cametra. I just want to be a normal person."
