Tenson was scared out of his wits. He could hardly believe that Wilbur was acquainted with his clan leader and that his clan leader treated Wilbur with so much respect too.
It was clear to Tenson from Sam's tone alone that Wilbur was no ordinary man. His clan leader was definitely no match for Wilbur either, especially with him addressing Wilbur as 'senior'.
How did Sam and Wilbur know each other, though? Also, there was the clan elder who was a Sanctuary level cultivator! How could he tolerate Sam addressing Wilbur like that?
Tenson felt like his heart fell into a chasm, but he was still unwilling to relent as he shouted, "Master Sam, I've done nothing but pour my heart and soul into supporting the Anne family financially! You can't do this to me! Tell Elder Weston to come to the phone, I'm going to kill this guy!"
"How dare you, Tenson?"
Sam was able to guess what had happened from Tenson's tone alone.
This bastard must have gotten himself into trouble, going against Wilbur and getting punished as a result.
That was Wilbur they were talking about. He was a terrifying presence that even the clan elder did not dare to mess with, as well as a hero who had given a precious cultivation method to their clan. How dare Tenson disrespect him like that!
Sam flew into a fit of rage and shouted, "Tenson, shut your damn mouth right now! Do you know what the senior has done for us? Just you wait! I'm coming to Lincoln City to rip you to pieces!"
Tenson was truly at a loss for words upon hearing that. He could not comprehend the situation. His clan leader was an Ambience level cultivator, and his clan elder had just become a Sanctuary level cultivator.
Why was Sam treating this man with so much respect? Was he even more powerful than Sanctuary level?
The thought itself made Tenson tremble in fear, not daring to think about it any further.
As a cultivator himself, Tenson knew just how powerful a Sanctuary level cultivator was. Whatever was more powerful than that, however, was beyond his knowledge.
Wilbur replied, "It's perfectly fine that your clan runs a few businesses, but to have your clan member act out this way is unacceptable. As clan leader, you're partly responsible for this as well. Figure out what you're going to do."
