The sight of the cars seemed to give Jonah a boost of confidence as he immediately straightened up and rushed over to report the situation to the officers who had just arrived.
Jonah and the rest of his posse were smiling. They were curious to see just how a bastard like Wilbur would hold up against all these officers.
As Jonah reported the situation, up to a hundred Special Forces officers and police officers surrounded Wilbur's car. They were all armed, the barrels of their guns pointed at his car.
The situation had blown up, and both the head and vice captains of the Special Forces, along with the head of the police department, had shown up.
An officer having their gun taken from them by force was a big deal. All the superiors did not take such an offense lightly.
Burt walked up to the head and vice captains of Special Forces, reporting everything that had just happened to them.
Vice-captain Gordo Canne knew exactly what was going on. He had been the one to send Burt over when Jonah had called him in for a favor. However, he had not expected the situation to escalate so intensely.
This whole ordeal was also infuriating to Gordo as attacking officers and snatching their guns from them was a serious offense. The perpetrator was liable to be sentenced to a lifetime in prison.
Ronan Black, head captain of the Special Forces, listened on with furrowed brows.
He had just settled the Gobo case and now, something like this had to happen. What a pain in the neck.
However, this case was important enough for Ronan to have to show up. He would be responsible if it was not handled well.
"Captain, from what I can see, we should just kill the guy. He snatched all these guns from our officers. He's immensely dangerous," said Gordo.
Ronan turned to look at him. "Let's take a closer look at the situation before that. We'll do our best to talk him into surrendering. Since he's got all those guns on him, there might be a few casualties at hand if a fight were to break out."
Gordo said nothing else. After all, he was merely a vice-captain.
The head of the police force also did not say anything as he stood there.
This case was out of his hands. There was nothing he could do. It was best that he just stayed out of trouble.
