Ethan hugged Wilbur tightly and sobbed hard.

Wilbur patted his back and said, "Alright, you're a tough man. What's with this crying? Let's go back before we talk."

"Yeah." Ethan nodded. Then, the three of them went back to the hotel where Wilbur was staying.

They sat on the sofa and Wilbur told Ethan what happened. Walter was frightened and uneasy after hearing what he said.

Ethan clenched his jaw after he was done listening. He said, "I can't repay you for what you did, but my life is yours. I'll return my life to you whenever you need it."

"What are you saying? Being alive is better than anything. Don't forget that you have a sister you need to take care of," Wilbur reminded him.

Ethan nodded firmly. They had a bond that went beyond words, and there was no need for further discussion.

Suddenly, Wilbur asked, "How are you going to deal with Joel William?"

"He has to die," said Ethan while clenching his jaw.

Wilbur nodded and said, "I agree. An eye for an eye, two lives for two lives. There's nothing much to say about that."

Walter hurriedly opened the door when Wilbur frowned. They saw a hotel server holding a letter at the door. He said, "Mister Penn, there is a letter for you."

Walter accepted the letter and closed the door. He passed the letter with both hands to Wilbur.

Wilbur tore the envelope and looked at the letter. Then, he looked at Ethan.

"What happened?" asked Ethan.

Wilbur replied slowly, "Joel William hung himself last night, and he left a will. Half of Viewspring Corp has been given to you."

"He took his own life?" Ethan was immediately infuriated. He could not avenge his parents without killing Joel himself.

Wilbur frowned and said slowly, "Ethan, he committed suicide and gave you half of his assets to protect his family. I think you should let it rest."
