Emmett consoled his mother
Mr. Lewis’s expression was grim. He told his sons and daughters–in–law, “Take your mother to rest. I’ll watch over Duncan.”
“I’m not leaving. I won’t leave. I want to wait for Duncan to come out and take care of him.”
Mrs. Lewis refused to leave.
