Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 1159

Chapter 1159 It’s All For His Own Good

Roselynn’s gaze dimmed in response.

Many men were the same. Jaxton started dating Milani almost immediately after their divorce, didn’t he? Imagine, he had promised to respect her for a lifetime during their wedding ceremony, but look what happened. He conspired with his mother to try and force himself on her. Those vows were truly unreliable.

“Roselynn, don’t pay attention to the nonsense from the next table!” Julian was panicking.

Damn it!

If he wasn’t afraid that Roselynn would leave right away, he really wanted to silence the woman.

“Roselynn, trust me! I can buy you a house, and all my income will be managed by you. I just want to be with you, genuinely-”

This time, he was mentally prepared. However, he didn’t expect that this time, it wouldn’t be the woman speaking but the man who stood up in agitation, pointing at the woman and cursing loudly, “Enough! I’ve tolerated you for long enough! We’re breaking up! But the money I gave you before, you must pay it all back! And I bought the house before we got married, so you better leave! Don’t even think about taking half!

“If you don’t return the things I gifted you and the money I gave you, I’ll sue you! If the lawsuit doesn’t work, I’ll ruin your reputation! I have plenty of money!”

Hearing this, Roselynn couldn’t help but laugh, and Julian, seeing her expression, felt his heart sink.

Just as he was about to continue speaking, Roselynn finally waved her hand, signaling him to stop. Then, with a long sigh, she said, “Julian, I believe you genuinely like me now, but I don’t believe in love at first sight. I know I have a terrible personality, my temperament is not exceptional, and my family background is just average. You’re probably just attracted to my body!”

“I…” Julian was momentarily speechless.

It was true that he fell in love at first sight with Roselynn because of her looks and figure. But Roselynn’s claim that he was only attracted to her body was not accurate.

Without waiting for him to find the right words, Roselynn continued, “I don’t know if the couple at the next table is a coincidence or intentional, but they did give me a wake-up call.

“When a man likes a woman, he dares to say anything and will do anything, but what happens after the passion fades? The cigarette is extinguished; he puts on his clothes and leaves. In short, if the match is not made in heaven, it will never last!”

“But…” Julian was once again at a loss for words.

However, Roselynn smiled at him and said, “Julian, you have excellent qualities and can have any woman you

want. There’s really no need to waste time and effort on me. It’s not that you’re not deserving of me; it’s that I’m not deserving of you. So, no matter how hard you try, it’s futile! Do you understand?”

Julian was stunned. Her words left him feeling dejected and even a bit desperate.

“Farewell. I don’t want to be in a relationship anymore.” Roselynn blinked at him, this time not intentionally being distant as before. Instead, with a melancholic expression, she turned away from Julian and slowly walked away,

Julian stared blankly at her figure, unsure of what to do next…

Albert was also in the corner of the restaurant, observing Julian in his disheartened state. He slapped himself hard. Why did I reveal Julian’s location to Madam?! Madam acted quickly, too, promptly arranging people to come and disrupt Mr. Summerton’s confession indirectly.

After Roselynn left the restaurant, she aimlessly wandered the streets alone. Her heart felt an inexplicable ache. Just seeing the pained expression on Julian’s face a while ago made her feel uneasy.
