Love Began with the First Meeting novel Chapter 1011

"Where is Mr. Brian Long? I don't see him anywhere," Ximena asked.

Molly shrugged and replied, "I don't know what he is busy doing. He has been acting all mysterious for a few days now." Her words sounded like a complaint out of her dissatisfaction with Brian, but the light in her eyes told Ximena that she was expecting something special from him. "I've told the kitchen to prepare afternoon tea for us. You can get some rest, while you drink and eat something," she added.

Ximena nodded. She looked around the busy place. Her eyes lit up all of a sudden. "Brother!" she exclaimed.

Hanson saw Ximena too. He walked towards her looking all dapper, and had an evil yet attractive smile on his face. "I heard that you had arrived, so I came before the others," he said.

Molly looked behind him, but didn't see anybody else.

"Mr. Brian Long is still busy," Hanson said, noticing Molly's pout. Raising his eyebrows slightly, he continued, "Mrs. Molly Long, don't you know that it's bad luck to see each other on the day before your wedding?"

Molly curled her lips into a pretty smile. "This wedding is happening just to create some good memories for us," she said. "Do I need to remind you that Brian and I have been married for more than two years now?" After raising her eyebrows at him in a complacent manner, she added, "I'm taking the dress to the bride's room. You two can chat for a while."

"Okay," Ximena nodded. It was not until Molly had disappeared from her sight that she walked to the villa with Hanson.

"How have you been?" Hanson asked while pouring a cup of tea for both of them. "I know that you're doing a great job with your career, but what about your relationship with Aaron?"

Ximena shrugged slightly and said in an indifferent tone, "A relationship needn't necessarily be romantic."

"But a relationship wouldn't be perfect if it isn't romantic," Hanson said, getting straight to the point. When he had gone to the Grand Night Casino in QY Island last time, he had found that the two of them had not been getting along well with each other. It was as if they had entered a vicious cycle because of what had happened in the past. As an outsider, he had been worried and anxious for them, but he couldn't do anything to help.

"Brother Hanson," Ximena said in a coquettish tone, which she seldom did. "Aaron and I are fine with the way we are now. We're already like a married couple, just without a marriage certificate or a wedding."

Leaning against the backrest of the sofa, Hanson stared at Ximena in confusion. "Why on earth are you hesitating?" he asked. "Sometimes I really can't understand what women are thinking. Even if it's so obvious that they love someone dearly, they still choose not to move forward because of some reason or the other. And often, these reasons are void and are just their imagination." When Ximena didn't respond, he groaned, "Be careful. When Aaron finally meets some woman who is able to take his heart away from you, you could do nothing but cry at that time."

His words failed to alarm Ximena. "If there was really such a woman, she would be able to take Aaron away from me even if we're married," she sneered. "Don't you think that I would be more of a loser if that happens? Instead of my husband being taken away by another woman after I finally remove the load off my mind and agree to get married, I would rather maintain the status quo. If he abandons me some day, I can marry somebody else, and that would be my first marriage."

"Yikes," Hanson said with a disgusted expression on his face. Looking squarely at Ximena, he said, "What a fallacy I've just listened to! How could you think this way? "
