Love Began with the First Meeting novel Chapter 1171

Evelyn was still typing to fuel the fire in the forum. She shook her head and said, "I don't even know this guy. Stop putting blame on others. I don't care who he is, but he is making things more complicated."

A University had been the most popular university in A City for the past decade, not only because the graduates had much achievements in different areas, but also because many wealthy families and government officials sent their children here. These students with their powerful backgrounds could easily create gossips about themselves and others. If things went off track, these gossips could even end up in the newspapers.

Fear was a novel word as far as Evelyn was concerned. It was all thanks to her spoiled upbringing. The Long Family protected her from all sides. Nothing could touch her, and even if it did, it would instantly be cleared by her father, uncle and her brothers. She had become the rebellious sister, who always caused troubles for her brothers. However, both Charlie and Addison enjoyed her playfulness, so there was no reason for Evelyn to change.

While Evelyn was in high spirits dealing with the forum, Elsa's mood was down the gutter. She wasn't the type to browse forums—game or school forum. But the other three were into it. After reading the article in the forum, Ann and the others were pissed off.

"What's wrong with this Charlie? We regarded him as the prince charming. How could he go and flirt with two women at the same time?"

"What a scum!"

"Such an asshole!"

When Elsa heard them angrily cursing Charlie, she furrowed her eyebrows and said, "He is an asshole, but he is not flirting with two women simultaneously."

"Elsa, just take a look at this." Anna brought her laptop to Elsa and pointed to the screen, which showed the hot post. She even clicked on the reply by "Snow And Snow". "Look at this! Everyone is saying that you and Charlie are both third wheels. It says that he ruined the relationship between you and Allen, while you intruded into the relationship between him and Evelyn. And what's more, Charlie has a group of people supporting him, but you don't. In the end, everyone is pointing finger at you! As much as we want to support you, we can't win this fight."

Elsa was intently reading the post, and didn't take in a word Anna had said. She just curiously read the passage and the replies on the screen. While her three roommates were confused as to why she wasn't angry at Charlie at all, Elsa shifted her eyes away from the screen and said coolly, "Charlie is Evelyn's elder brother." The three girls gaped at her in shock. Then she added in a serious tone, "They are twins."

They were struck speechless. They exchanged confused glances and unanimously voiced out, "Impossible!"

"It's true." Elsa shrugged. "Charlie Xia's real name is Charlie Long. He is Evelyn Long's elder brother. They are twins."

"What?! His surname is really Long?"

"Yes." Elsa nodded slightly. "I don't know why he changed his surname, but he really is Evelyn's brother."

The three of them were rendered speechless once again. After the news had sunk in, Anna said, "But they look so different."

"Different" was an understatement. They actually seemed like they were from different worlds! Charlie was like a prince from fairy tales—gentle and handsome. Putting Evelyn's background aside, she was just an ordinary girl. She wasn't an exquisite beauty. Her appearance was just slightly above average, except for her eyes. And well... Her personality was nothing like a gentle lady's. She was stronger than most men around her. And yet, they were twins! Ann wondered if God had transferred all of Evelyn's beauty to Charlie instead.

The news was baffling. This had also bothered Elsa for quite a long time. Despite them being twins, how could they look so dissimilar? None of their features matched.

"If Evelyn and Charlie are really siblings, then this could only mean that Evelyn is carefree and Charlie takes care of his younger sister and protects her well," Ann said. When Olivia finished reading the discussions in the forum, her lips twitched awkwardly. "I feel so sorry for Evelyn. Her personality is too distorted."

Elsa laughed when she heard that comment. "Nah, it's not like that. She is just a normal girl." She beamed at Olivia and continued, "She just loves to play."

The three girls turned to look at Elsa simultaneously. Anna remarked, "Wow, Elsa has become a proper sister-in-law now. I imagine that you will continue to keep a good relationship with Evelyn in the future."

"Hmm..." Elsa hummed lazily.

Ann rolled her eyes at her lack of enthusiasm. "So, Charlie is also part of the Long Family. No wonder he has that high social hierarchy air about him. I wonder if he is from the immediate family circle or from one of the branches..." Her voice trailed off as her thoughts drifted elsewhere. As a woman who was going to take up her family business, she was more sensitive to this kind of things.

"All the discussions have ceased!" Olivia announced. On instinct, all of them looked at the screen. The post wasn't deleted; it wasn't hacked either. Beside the title, there was a lock icon, which meant that the forum manager had locked the post to prevent anyone from making any further changes or comments.

In A University, there was a freedom of speech, mainly because the school didn't want to anger the powerful families of the students. Normally, when posts went viral and out of control, they would delete them to prevent uncontrollable consequences. After all, it was the school's forum. If anything happened, the school might get into trouble. Of course, that didn't always work. There were a lot of computer geniuses at A University and they could easily hack the forum if they wanted to.

But this was the first time that a post had been locked.

"The school had to intervene," Anna murmured. She saw the announcement in the forum which said that the post had created some negative impact and had been hence locked down by the school.

By the time Charlie reached the student dorm, the post had already been locked. The nerd, who normally indulged himself in books, had been browsing the school forum the entire day without studying. When he saw Charlie walk in, he shook his head and remarked, "Since the day you arrived at A University, you have been the hot topic in the forum."

Charlie glanced at the screen on the nerd's laptop. Without replying, he went to his own desk and opened Dragon.
