Love Drug (Summer and Fraser) novel Chapter 116

Chapter 116 Kiss Me

Soon, Fraser and Summer arrived at Astralis Tower

He parked the car, took Summer’s hand, and stepped out with her.

He led her into the sky elevator, ascending all the way to the very top of the towering building

As they stepped out, a vast, dazzling sky stretched before them.

Stars and fireworks flickered in the night, like jewels embedded in black velvet, shining brilliantly.

Finished

The rooftop was arranged warmly, with balloons and vibrant roses encircling the space, turning it into a luxurious observation deck.

It was just the two of them.

Fraser pulled out a firstaid kit from somewhere.

He took out a cotton swab, soaked it in medicinal alcohol, and carefully reached out to dab the swollen corner of her lips.

The alcohol stung as it touched the small cut.

Hiss

Summer instinctively turned her head away, murmuring softly, It hurts.

Fraser frowned. Now you know it hurts? Why didn’t you dodge when you were getting hit?His deep voice carried a harsh edge, but his touch grew gentler.

Summer felt frustrated.

How am I supposed to know Harvey will just walk up and slap me out of nowhere? Even if I scream or fight back, it doesn’t make a difference.

A woman’s strength was no match for a grown man.

Harvey was impulsive, reckless, and fiercely protective, but only when it came to Margaret.

At that thought, the brightness in Summer’s clear, beautiful eyes dimmed.

I’ll take you to boxing lessons next time.”

Boxing?Summer looked up at him. One against two? Can I fight you too?

Fraser’s lips curled slightly, his voice light. I just saved you like a hero, and now you want to silence me?

That wasn’t what Summer meant.

At the party, Fraser had fought for her. She still remembered how effortlessly he had lifted Harvey.

Now, she finally understood why people always said Havenbrook’s bossman was a powerhouse in the ring.

Finished

If she could be half as skilled as him, she could put people like Harvey in their place. Fraser finished applying medicine to the cuts on her lips and any other wounds on her body.

Then, he lounged carelessly on a nearby chair, one arm restingcasually behind his head, the other idly stroking her slender, silklike fingers.

Just then, his phone rang.

Fraser glanced at Summer before answering in front of her.

What’s up?

His grandmother, Helen Lawson, spoke on the other end.

Oh, my dear, I heard you’ve been busy handling the branch office, working tirelessly without rest. What was so urgent that you rushed back? A 15hour flight must have been exhausting! The servants told me you didn’t even stop by the villa to rest after landing. I’m worried your body won’t be able to handle such intense strain.

She was close enough that Summer could hear everything.

She remembered Fraser telling her he’d be on a business trip for a week.

But it had only been four days, including travel time, plus handling work.

That meant he had barely slept.

Summer stared at him in silence.

His profile was sharp and welldefineddeepset eyes, a straight nose, chiseled features that seemed meticulously sculpted. But faint shadows of exhaustion lingered around his eyes.

So he had rushed back just to celebrate her birthday.

The realization sent warmth flooding through her chest, swelling until it ached, almost overflowing.

Fraser ended the call.

Summer quickly turned her head away, not wanting him to notice her reaction.

A moment later, her voice came out hoarse. Thank you for tonight.”

Thank you for standing up for me so unapologetically. Thank you for being on my side without hesitation. Thank you for the fireworks. Thank you
