Chapter 162 Her Name Was on the Property Deed?

When Damien got to his office, Ray was waiting for him there.

It was the end of the year, and Ray had just assumed his position. There were a lot of things to be done.

“Hey, what’s wrong with your lip? Did Clarissa bite you?” Ray said teasingly

Damien had already seen the wound on his lip when he woke up this morning.

“I bet she’s left her mark on your body as well, huh? She’s not too bad! Then again, shouldn’t you be angry at her after what happened yesterday? Don’t tell me she got the upper hand.”

“How do you know I haven’t left my mark on her?” Damien asked in return.

Ray shook his head. “Man, I’m not sure if I want to see or hear any of these things. I can already imagine you two together.”

“Alright, that’s enough. Get to the point.”

Damien walked over to his desk and put his things down. Then, he lit a cigarette.

Ray started giving Damien an update on his work.

Damien gave him a few pointers. After that, he went back to his office.

Someone knocked on the door.

“Come in,” Damien said.

Connie walked in.

Damien had seen her the day before, and knew that she was Clarissa’s cousin.

At that moment, her name slipped his mind.

“You‘re Clarissa’s cousin, right?”

“Yes, President Lawrence.” Connie stood up straight and put on a loyal look. In truth, her imagination was running wild. If only Damien would kick Clarissa to the curb and take me as his sugar baby instead. Maybe he’d fall in love with me one day!’

Now that she was looking at him up close, she could see how handsome he truly was.

“Tell him that the communications company called me about his request to set up cable TV. This is the house deed, and I want you to give it to him.” Damien opened his drawer and took out a property deed. Then, he stubbed out his cigarette and continued, “You can ask him about the details. I’m busy.”

Connie looked a little awkward at his blunt order to leave.

She could tell from his tone that he wasn’t too happy.
