Chapter 22 Ruining His Reputation Clarissa (cared that Luke would concoct more dirty Iricks.

She said to Joseph, “Mr. Moore, let’s Icave right away. I’m worried that my brother will come

back.”

“Don’t be scared. I’m here. You can rest Kirst.”

“No. You don’t know my brother. He’ll entrap us both.”

Clarissa had gotten up from the bed. She was wearing an innocent-looking white dress. Her clothes were utterly wet. It stuck to her body, revealing her curves. The situation was really awkward.

Joseph only got a quick glance, but his ears reddened. He turned his head around, took off his jacket, and put it on Clarissa.

Shortly after, they were on the hotel’s first floor. Joseph wanted to give Clarissa a ride back. However, she was afraid of being spotted by her colleagues. It would be difficult to explain if Damien found out. Therefore, she said, “There’s no need. Thank you, Mr. Moore.”

“Will you be fine by yourself?” Joseph was worried. “It’s just a short distance away. I can get home just by walking.” Clarissa forced a smile.

“Let me give you a ride.” Joseph was worried that something would happen to her again. As the both of them were insisting, a car’s honk could be heard twice coming from the roadside. Clarissa turned her head and her face immediately turned pale. It was Damien’s car.

“President… President Lawrence, why are you here?” Clarissa suddenly felt guilty.

Damien’s expression was dark. His intense gaze swept across the two of them.

His wife and another man were pulling and pushing each other at a hotel’s entrance. She was even wearing his clothing! What a way of ruining his reputation. Damien’s eyes were basically spitting fire. The anger was clear in his voice as he said, “Are you meeting your lover here?” Clearly, Damien had misunderstood. Clarissa was startled. She wanted to explain as quickly as possible. However, Joseph embraced her in a protective manner. At the same time, he looked at Damien aggressively. “Who are you? Why are you trying to control her? She already had a rough time earlier.”

Damien’s gaze was cold.

“She’s none of your concern!”
