Chapter 252 Fraternal Twins

Lily took a taxi to Clarissa‘s neighborhood, and saw Joseph‘s car parked downstairs.

“Did Clarissa invite you?” Lily asked Joseph.

“Oh, no. I came early because she said she had a checkup today,” Joseph said.

Lily went upstairs, lost in her thoughts. Clarissa told no one about the baby‘s father. After all, Clarissa knew if she told Lily, Damien would find out sooner or later.

No one else but Damien knew what had happened to her the night before the exam. Therefore, both Lily and Mrs. Faber were convinced that the child was Damien‘s.

Just like how Damien was so sure that the child was Joseph‘s, most of the people around them were sure that the child was Damien‘s.

“Clarissa. Joseph‘s waiting for you downstairs. He‘s going to accompany you to the maternity checkup,” Lily told Clarissa when she got upstairs.

“Is he here?” Clarissa was wearing her jacket.

Leah had just sent her a WhatsApp, saying she had arrived. However, Clarissa couldn‘t just reject Joseph‘s kind invitation. Should she join Joseph?

Clarissa went downstairs and headed to Joseph‘s car.

“Hi, Clarissa. You said you were having a checkup today, so I came to take you there and discuss the projects. Get in the car.”

Clarissa thought for a moment, and decided that Joseph‘s suggestion made sense. Therefore, she called Leah and told Leah about the change of plans. Then, she gave Leah a free day.

“It‘s okay. Mrs. Lawrence. In that case, I‘ll go first,” Leah answered.

“Okay. Thanks.” Clarissa ended the call and got into Joseph‘s car.

Leah drove and left. In the meantime, she also texted Damien on WhatsApp

Leah: (President Lawrence, Mrs. Lawrence left in her friend‘s car today. She gave me a free day.]

Damien: [I see.] Damien knew very well about that friend of Clarissa‘s. It was none other than Joseph.
