Chapter 273 He Gave Her a Chance “What‘s wrong?” Damien opened the door and entered the room. “My calf is cramping up,” Clarissa bemoaned. She was in so much pain, she was on the verge of crying Damien sat down next to her and placed her legs on his lap.

“I‘m not in pain now.” She quickly retracted her legs.

“Have you been taking your medicine on time these days?” Damien asked.

“Yeah. I‘ve been taking the meds on time.”

“It‘s good that you‘re not suffering from nausea throughout your pregnancy,” Damien commented all of a sudden.

At first, Clarissa didn‘t see a problem with his statement. Fear suddenly set into her after she thought about it. The reason why Damien was able to find out about her pregnancy was because of her vomiting episodes.

“Did I say that in the past?”

“Don‘t you remember what you said?” Damien asked.

“I did vomit a few times at the start of the pregnancy, but after that I‘m doing pretty well,” Clarissa said.

“Is that so?”

The moment he was done speaking, Damien climbed into the bed and started reading there.

“Are... Are you sleeping here tonight?” Clarissa shot him a side–eyed look. “Of course.”

“Then... Can you please take Bethany‘s advice to heart?” Clarissa mumbled. “Who do you think I am?” Clarissa opted to not answer that question. Instead, she grumbled inwardly, ‘Aren‘t you a horny beast?‘ That night, Damien and Clarissa were very quiet. Soon, the latter fell asleep. Damien switched off the lights and went to bed at around eleven o‘clock.
