Chapter 283 What Did You Wish For? Lily placed the birthday cake on the picnic mat before lighting up the candles on the surface, Altogether, there were twenty–nine candles.

“What did you wish for?” Right after Landon was done making his wish, Damien asked the question casually.

“My wish won‘t come true if I end up telling you about it, so I won‘t say anything.” Landon was a man with a good temperament. All he did was smile and laugh.

Clarissa kept looking at Damien, wondering if he had forgotten about Landon‘s birthday present. She didn‘t see him grabbing a package or a parcel at all.

“How‘s your game company doing lately?” Damien asked.

“Well, we‘ve developed a couple of new games. Lately, we‘ve collaborated on a project with the biggest game company in Genovia, Rhythmic Technology. This company‘s one of the sponsors of the movie ‘Manor of the Marquis,‘ so they‘ll most likely see an increase in their reputation and fame. Maybe they‘ll even rake in mountains of profits next year,” Landon said.

“I‘ll invest ten million dollars in your company. Next Monday, you can come over to my company to sign the contract,” Damien replied casually.

Landon could hardly believe his ears. He was stunned for a moment or two, but he managed to regain his senses. “S–Seriously?!”

“It‘s your birthday gift.”

“This is too precious! Thank you so much, Mr. Lawrence!”

Clarissa thought, ‘He either opts out giving a birthday present, or he‘ll outshine everyone by throwing millions of dollars as a gift.‘

It seemed that Damien and Landon were on great terms for a very long time.

“How did you know that the company will earn a lot of profits if they invest in ‘Manor for the Marquis‘?” Lily asked curiously. “What if that movie flops in the future?”

“I can see that you know nothing. Iris Productions is a company famous for producing only one movie per year. The script itself takes over a few years just to write and refine, so how is it possible for the movie to flop? Furthermore, Iris Benson would never ruin her reputation, seeing as she‘s already a seasoned producer, Then again, despite being the CEO of her company, she spends most of her life overseas. Clarissa didn‘t care about gossip and trends, nor did she know who Iris was. Heck, she didn‘t even know a single thing about Landon‘s game company.
