Clarissa only checked her phone after calming down. It was a WhatsApp message from Chanel.

Chanel: [Clarissa, are you free now? I have something to tell you.]

Clarissa: [Yeah, I’m at home.]

Chanel: [I’ll be there in fifteen minutes.]

Clarissa: [Okay.]

Clarissa tidied up her place while waiting for Chanel.

“Clarissa, did someone drop by just now?” Chanel sniffed around.

“No.” Clarissa felt a little flustered. How could Chanel tell?

“Why’s there the smell of perfume, then? You don’t normally use any.”

“Oh, I got a sample when I went to the mall, so I sprayed it everywhere.” Clarissa didn’t smell anything despite being in the same room as Iris.

“Go on, please ask him for me!” Chanel was agitated.
