Clarissa’s intention was to push Chanel into requesting to borrow the money from Damien by herself. She never expected that Chanel would push the task back to her.

“Thank you so much, Clarissa!” Chanel was delighted.

Clarissa wondered silently, ‘Chanel probably thinks I’ll definitely be able to borrow the money for her, doesn’t she?’
