The caller was the supervisor in charge of the faculty of finance, Professor Todd.

Clarissa found this very strange, as she had only come to this university. She wondered what Professor Todd could be calling her for.

“Miss Johnson, if you have time, can you go to the hospital in my stead? My child’s sick, so I can’t leave.”

Clarissa asked in concern, “What’s going on?”

“I’m fine, but it’s my student Hannah Jenkins. I heard something about her getting involved with a married man and getting caught in bed with him. It’s so embarrassing! I’m really sorry to trouble you with this,” Professor Todd lamented.

“It’s fine. Which hospital is it?” Clarissa asked.

“I think it’s Genovia Gynecology Hospital.”

“Genovia Gynecology Hospital? Okay, I’ll go immediately,” Clarissa said. ‘Bethany works there. I should call her later and ask her which room the student’s in.’

Clarissa called for a ride to the hospital. She was about to call Bethany, but the latter did it first.

“Clarissa, there’s three people here at the hospital today, and it’s so dramatic! A woman slapped her husband’s mistress so hard, the mistress’s face nearly fell off. She even nearly castrated her husband. Isn’t that scary? Now two of them have been admitted to the hospital. The man’s name is Howard Brooks, and the woman is Hannah Jenkins.”

Clarissa was absolutely speechless.

After arriving at the hospital, Clarissa first went to see Hannah. She asked after the student with her position as a teacher.

Clarissa had just started this job, so she didn’t know the students well. Besides, she had been at quite a faraway distance from the university entrance, and hadn’t clearly seen the student who had thrown herself into Howard’s embrace.
