Chapter 83 D&C When Clarissa woke up the next day, she found that she was still in Damlen’s arms. He had yet to get out of bed.
Her sore body, coupled with Damien’s rejection from tlic night before, infuriated her deeply.
So, she turned her back to him.
Damien’s phone rang. “Am l free today? Yes, she’s free as well. Alright, we’ll be there at noon.” He hung up.
“Madelynn’s going to be done with filming today, and she’ll be going outstation to retake some shots. She wants to buy me a meal before leaving, and she invited you as well,” Damien sald to Clarissa.
‘Wow, she moves (ast.’ “Well then, hubby, I want you to wear one of the shirts I bought for you,” Clarissa said gently, turning to look at him.
Damien frowned at her. She knew very well that those shirts were from Madelynn, and that Madelynn was probably trying to embarrass her. Was she a lool? “No, I won’t,” he said firmly. He grabbed his shirt from beside the bed.
Clarissa knew that once Damien liad made up his mind, nothing would be able to change it. In hier panic, she knelt on the bed and pressed her lips to lis.
This was her first time taking the initiative to kiss him.
It lasted for a long while.
“What are you doing?” When the kiss was over, Clarissa backed away and saw that Damien was frowning
However, it was obvious that he wasn’t truly questioning her. Clarissa only started feeling embarrassed when the kiss was over. She looked at Damien slyly.
She placed a singer on her lips, as if she’d done something that was out of line. “I just… I just wanted you to wear the shirt I bought you.” She was holding one of the shirts, looking coy “You’ll need to bear the consequences if anything happens!” Damien felt that Clarissa wouldn’t let the matter slide if he didn’t wear it. He wanted to see what she was up to.
“I will, I will!” she said.
They headed to the café Madelynn had chosen.
Madelynn watched them approach through the window. Clarissa was pretty, while Damien was calm and steady.
He was supposed to be Madelynn’s!
Madelynn wanted nothing more than to strangle Clarissa, especially now that she knew who
Soon, Clarissa and Damien sat down across from Madelynn. The thought of Madelynn’s upcoming embarrassment delighted Clarissa to no end. Seeing Clarissa’s jovial mood, Madelynn’s anger intensified. She pretended to have just noticed Damien’s shirt. As she took a sip of her coffee, she said,” Wow, Damien! This shirt looks great on you! I had it tailor-made based on your old measurements, but I didn’t expect it to fit you so perfectly. Your figure hasn’t changed at all. Thank you, Miss Johnson, for passing the shirts to him on my behall.”
This was what Madelynn was planning. She wanted to embarrass Clarissa in public.
Clarissa acted as if she didn’t understand a word and put on a surprised look. “What are you talking about, Miss York? I don’t think I understand you.” Madelynn was pleased with hersell. Clarissa probably naively thought that Madelynn wouldn’t expose her in front of Damien.
Madelynn could tell that Clarissa was trying to find herself a way out by claiming that she didn’t know what was going on. Otherwise, things would be much too awkward for her. After all, the shirts she had gifted her own husband were from his ex-girlfriend.
“I said that I was the one who bought Damien this shirt. I asked you to give it to him for me, didn’t I? I had them delivered to your dorm,” Madelynn said leisurely while stirring her coffee.
