Glancing at him, Carla nodded her head and said, "Alright, I'm gonna give Violet a call to see if she is free later this afternoon."
"You're seriously the best, honey! If Violet gets married to William, your best friend can spend time with you here, and apart from that, Sally can also have someone to play with. That sounds great! Don't you think so?"
Terence went ahead and laid out all of the possible benefits for her.
"Well, I guess you're right! That's it, I'm gonna do it! For now, you should head straight to work. Don't be late!"
Carla reminded him as she fixed his clothes. As soon as she was done, she proceeded to push him out the door.
He was already about to get late. And even now, he was still wasting his time thinking of other things.
"Honey... Are you really in such a hurry to make me leave?"
Terence couldn't do a thing as Carla pushed him out the door. She was so quick to act that he couldn't even get the chance to kiss her goodbye. With a loud thump, the door was closed shut behind him.
Unable to do anything, he simply shook his head and let out a soft chuckle. After making sure that his clothes looked fine, he walked out like a gentleman and headed downstairs.
As he was making the turn, he seemed to be a bit preoccupied. Because of that, he almost didn't notice that he was about to bump into Eunice.
"Eunice, watch out!"
Terence reflexively grabbed onto her because they were currently on the stairs.
However, he let go of her just as soon as he had caught her.
Eunice was caught completely off guard. In that moment, she smelled the faint scent of cologne along with a cold but strong hand on her waist. If she was being honest, it actually felt like a dream to her.
Before she could gather her thoughts and appreciate what he had done, Terence had already walked past her and went downstairs.
Eunice could clearly feel that her heart was pounding like a drum. All of a sudden, a distant memory came across her mind.
The first time she had ever laid eyes on Terence, her heart had been pumping like crazy just as it was doing right now.
Back then, she was about fifteen years old.
JA City was a medium-sized city. In spite of that, Terence seemed like the moon at night to every girl who resided there. All of them couldn't help but dream about him, but he just felt so distant and cold to everyone.
It had been so long, but he still looked as attractive as he was back then. Even though he was standing right in front of Eunice right now, she still felt the same way—she wouldn't be able to reach out to him.
"Eunice, I have to go now. There's something I need to take care of. If you want to head back home, just ask the driver to take you, okay?"
