Chapter 30
Janet and the rest returned, and the production crew soon informed them that lunch had to be made by themselves.
As soon as this task was announced, her face turned a bit grim. Karen was even more anxious since neither she nor Janie could cook.
Rebecca, on the other hand…
Karen then instinctively glanced over at Rebecca. Whenever their housekeeper took leave or got fired for making mistakes, Rebecca would cook for everyone at home.
Rebecca felt a burning gaze on her and turned to look. The moment her eyes met her foster mother’s, she had a bad feeling.
“Reb…” Karen suddenly spoke, trying to call Rebecca’s name.
“Mom, let’s work out a way to make lunch,” Janet quickly interjected to stop her mother. She thought that since they were recording a show, under no circumstances could they involve Rebecca, or else it would be troublesome if fans discovered their relationship.
Karen then turned back to look at her daughter.
When she saw Janet’s serious expression, she slowly realized that her daughter didn’t want her to reach out to Rebecca.
At that moment, Charlie let out a light hum, quietly pulled his sister away, and headed to the kitchen to check the situation. He wasn’t going to let his sister stay there and face those disgusting mother–daughter duo.
Their reaction was rather obvious, and some sharp–eyed fans in the livestream sensed something was up.

Then, she buys promotion accounts to spread rumors and forcibly creates a romantic link with Charlie to gain popularity. Later, a reporter asked Charlie if he was dating Janet, and Charlie flatly said no. When asked why, Charlie said, “She’s too ugly!“]
[I love Chuck’s attitude. For those malicious people, just confront them directly. No need to be nice!]
