Phoebe glanced at me indifferently before turning to look at Leonard affectionately. It seemed that she was trying to show off their relationship in front of me.
So she was going to treat me as if I was nonexistent?
There was no way I would allow that!
As she turned, I stuck out a foot and stepped on the hem of her wedding gown.
She had been in a hurry to get away from me and the momentum sent her flying towards the ground.
The employee who had been standing in front of her reached out to hold her, but it was too late.
...
Phoebe yelped in surprise and crashed to the floor. Her hair was all messed up, and her chest was showing. She looked disheveled.
Leonard, who had been silent this whole time, finally lost his temper and said, "Queena, you're challenging me!"
He got up, probably to teach me a lesson, but I was prepared. How could I possibly allow myself to get caught so easily?
Seeing that things were going south, I fled. Leonard did not give chase because he had to attend to Phoebe.
When I got to the entrance of the shop, I turned back and said in a provoking manner, "This is what you get when you've angered me. Don't think that I'm a pushover!"
"Queena, don't you dare run!" Leonard helped Phoebe up before roaring at me.
Did he expect me to listen to him? Only a fool would stay put!
Before Leonard could come after me, I ran out of the bridal shop and jumped into my car, which was parked nearby.
