Chapter 188
Sweetheart clicked on the video she’d sent over.
it played right there on the screen Merry didn’t capture her full figure, just one hand. That hand, delicate and pale, was evidently a woman’s.
In the video, the two were still chatting
When Cordelia’s line, “I’ve got it now, came through, the comments section exploded.
–“Did she just pick this up while playing? That’s insanely cool!”
-This feels kinda staged!!”
Sweetheart thought it seemed phony too and exited the video. She was about to dish out some snarky remark when she saw the message Cordelia had sent.
It startled her so much she quickly switched screens.
But in that brief moment, many had seen it, and the suspicions began to swarm:
“No offense, gonna get flamed for this, but Sweetheart always hides her face during streams, only chats after gaming. Is she really the one playing?”
–“Agree with the above, feeling doubtful…”
“Sweetheart, why not turn on your cam and play a round to prove it?”
Seeing these comments, Sweetheart’s confidence waned.
Cordelia sent another text: [Now, you owe me an apology.]
Too bad, right after she sent it, Merry smirked and said, “Lia, Sweetheart’s signed off. Her chat is ripping into her for faking it.”
Cordelia didn’t care about that because Sweetheart had already replied: [There’s no way I’m retracting the challenge. You want to use this account to play? Dream on!]
Cordelia frowned.
That’s when she got a new message from Jungler: [Learner, I thought you were cool when we gamed together. But making a smurf account and badmouthing Sweetheart? That’s low, even for you!]
Cordelia was confused.
Seeing her confusion, Merry asked, “Lia, what’s wrong?”
Cordelia said, “I think Jungler needs to get his eyes checked.”
After that, Cordelia tossed her phone aside. She’d already gamed for two hours today; it was time to rest.
Once Merry retreated to her room, Cordelia took a shower and went to bed.
The next morning, she and Merry went to class.
She was having a lunch date with Everard, so she skipped breakfast at Midnight Scent. After two morning classes and a break, Merry suddenly turned around, her face seething with anger, “Lia, they’ve crossed the line!”
Cordelia blinked, “What happened?”
Merry handed her the phone, “Just look at this nonsense!”

Chapter 188
Cordelia read and saw that the gaming community was ablaze with last night’s events. Someone had posted the story, heavily biased in Sweetheart’s favor
The post painted her as a manipulative user of Jungler’s affections, climbing ranks with his help, yet refusing to send a photo due to her ugly looks. She played games with Jungler from a nobody to Champion. Then Jungler got a girlfriend, and when the three played together, she threw tantrums and later harassed Jungler.
Sweetheart, standing up for her boyfriend, confronted Learner, who openly challenged her in a live stream. The match was fierce, and Sweetheart lost.
Forced into an embarrassing confession on social media, Sweetheart wrote, “I lost, nothing more to say, maybe I just lack the talent for gaming”
First deceiving emotions, then feigning incompetence in gaming to embarrass Sweetheart, the post concluded, this woman was the epitome of a wolf in sheep’s clothing!
After reading the post, Merry showed Cordelia the comments under Sweetheart’s social media, “Lia, look, they’re all bashing you!”
“Watched the live, feels like Learner was hustling at first, then went all out!”
–“Learner’s so good at gaming, I bet it’s a guy in disguise! Even uses a voice changer, right? Jungler was totally duped?”
–“Yeah, how could a girl be that good? If she really is a girl, she must be a tomboy, no wonder she’s scared to send a photo to Jungler.”
It was all insults below. Cordelia furrowed her brows.
She played games for the thrill, not for this kind of trouble. Cordelia was genuinely annoyed.
She forwarded the post and Sweetheart’s social media to Jungler with a command: [Sort this out, or else don’t blame me for getting tough.]
Jungler’s real name was Logan, was a top streamer for the game POT, based in Greenmeadow. He’d just graduated college and made a fortune streaming, now doing it full–time.
When Cordelia’s message came through, Sweetheart was right beside him.
They’d met on the streaming platform. Sweetheart wasn’t local, but after logging off the previous evening. she’d hopped on a plane straight to him.
Logan was a classic homebody, smitten by Sweetheart’s appearance – she was soft–spoken and more attractive than he had dared to hope, especially compared to the average girl.
Logan was all smooth talk during streams, but in person, he was shy, so he felt a bit awkward around her.
Sweetheart, with just a flutter of her eyelashes, had him wrapped around her finger.
