Love or Die: CEO’ s Daily Dose of Swoon (Cordelia) novel Chapter 218

Mr. Jensen hesitated for a moment upon hearing the words.

Just then, Mr. Waldron walked in, his smile breaking the tension. “Hey, students will be students, right? All around the teenage years, full of rebellion. We’re the teachers; should we really be sweating the small stuff? Lucille, I saw Cordelia earlier, and it looked like she realized her mistake. Let’s just let this one slide, huh?”

Lucille’s face darkened instantly.

The head of the department spoke up, “Waldron, good timing. What’s your take on this Cordelia matter?”

Without hesitation, Waldron said, “Just a young girl, petite and pretty, a brilliant student on top of that. I’ve heard her family is quite well-off, not far off from the Keens really. A bit of pride comes with the territory.”

The mention of not being far off from the Keens was a clear hint to Lucille not to overdo it, signaling that Cordelia wasn’t without her own resources.

Lucille frowned at that.

The head chuckled, “Sounds like you have a pretty good impression of her!”

Waldron laughed, “Well, the Autumn Gold Academic Bootcamp hasn’t seen a gold medal in years, right? I was kinda hoping she and Keen would be our ticket this year. You should’ve seen her at the National League, her scores were off the charts! Plus, she went and proved Batra's Conjecture – shows she’s got a broad knowledge in mathematics.”

The head started to waver.

Just as he was about to speak, Lucille snorted coldly, “So, we’re supposed to pamper someone like that, even if they disrespect a teacher? We’re here to teach them how to be decent humans, not just academics. If she can’t even respect her teachers, what hope does she have of doing us proud one day?”

The head frowned.

Everyone in the room was a teacher; they understood Mr. Sullivan's duty wasn’t just about imparting knowledge. Over the years, countless students had come through Autumn Gold Academic Bootcamp, and not one had dared to backtalk a teacher like this.

Lucille wasn’t just any teacher; being part of the team meant she had her merits.

The head’s tone hardened, “Lucille, don’t worry, we’ll handle this seriously. I’ll report this to the higher-ups right away. You’re right, we can’t just look at grades; character is just as important!”

After saying this, he added, “I’ll go and check with some students myself. As for Superiority College, you can rest easy. Professor Frankie was at the school today; he’s quite concerned. I’ll make sure he hears about this.”

“Good.”

Lucille finally seemed satisfied.

Queenie and a few others were called away, and when they returned to the classroom, the atmosphere had shifted. It was clear they had been questioned about the incident.

The classroom was abuzz with whispers, and when Queenie’s desk mate asked what had happened, she chuckled, “Oh, just the head stepping in to deal with someone who cursed at a teacher.”

Her voice carried, confirming the suspicions that Cordelia was the target.

A gasp went through the crowd, “What’s going to happen to her?”

Given they were only at Autumn Gold Academic Bootcamp for training, not as full-time students, severe punishment seemed unlikely. But then Queenie added, “The committee might just revoke someone’s competition spot and kick them out of the bootcamp. And you know, this kind of thing could reach Superiority College. Heard the head’s planning to talk to them. If they think there’s a character issue, who knows, might even affect her scholarship. And they’ll probably communicate with her high school too, might even go on her permanent record!”

Everyone inhaled sharply, murmurs of “That serious?” bouncing around.
