Chapter 109 

“I think you are just worried about her. I am equally worried too but since she is currently being treated, I don’t think that we should worry about that. Right now, we should focus more on what is important.” He said and Miles shot a really weird stare 

at him.

He inquired. 

“We will have to find out who did that to her and make sure that the person pays for it. 

We can ask by asking questions, about the last person that she saw, and everything. Or even checking fingerprints of a possible suspect.” He said. 

“We already have a possible suspect,” Miles added. 

Michel’s eyes furrowed as he pulled his brother away from the rest of the pack. 

“A possible suspect? Who would that be?” He Inquired with so much rising urgency in his voice. 

“Michael, just think about it, who do you think would hate her so much to inject her with a wolfsbane or feed it to her through any other means?” He questioned. 

“Wait Miles, Are you trying to say that Kayla did it?” Michael inquired and Miles nodded his head. 

But Michael still looked way too confused at what Miles just spat out from his mouth. 

He could not believe that Kayla, their mate’s sister, could do such a thing to her. Though everyone knows that she hates her sister but not to the extent of poisoning her with a wolfsbane That was just way too absurd and unthinkable. How could that kind of a she–wolf be that wild and evil? He thought in his head. 

Michael shook his head, staring right into the eyes of his brother. “I don’t think that she would be able to do such a thing to her sister. It’s just not possible.” He stood his ground. 

Just think about it Michael, she is always feeling insecure when her sister is around. And I can tell from the look that is always hanging on her face that she could still hurt her. Miles explained and a long sigh escaped from Michael’s lips. 

“You are right but we still have to give her the benefit of the doubt. He muttered. 

“Yes. That’s why we have to begin with our investigations right away and it’s cool to know that we already know where we are going to start from. Miles said. 

Meanwhile, Kayla was walking through the hospital to get a medical checkup when she was drawn to Alexia’s mates. 

She could not help but kept sniffing but when she got close to them to see their faces, she noticed that they were so worried that they could not sense that she was around. 

“Alexia.” She heard Michael saying and she pulled closer to a point that she could hear every single word of what they were saying. 

She hated her sister so much and she wanted to know why they were discussing her this time. 

She heard every word of it. Alexia was sick and she was in the hospital. 

A smile hovered on her lips as she thought about the pain that she might be going through at the moment. 

“That serves them right. She thought with the dark smile still hanging on her lips 

But she was not satisfied to just hear them discussing it, she wanted to see it for herself, yelling in so much pain. 

“The feeling is going to be satisfying.” She thought in her head. 

But she was not sure that they were going to allow her to see Alexia alone, so she decided to drag her father. 

She returned home and got her father back to the hospital a few minutes later, he was really worried and they walked towards the nurse to ask for directions but before they got to the nurse, they noticed Michael and Miles walking towards 

them. 

“Where is my daughter, where is Alexia? Her father Ray sobbed. 

What happened to Alexia, Michael? 1 hope she is fine.” Kayla inquired and they were shocked. 

They had never seen her so concerned about her sister before. It was just way too weird. 

“She got poisoned. 

“What!” Ray and Kayla exclaimed almost at the same time. 

“Where is my daughter, I want to see her.” He was worried that something terrible might have happened to Alexia. 

They came to the room and they all stared at Alexia laying on the bed. 

Meanwhile, Kayla kept on gloating at her but Miles noticed and walked towards her with a frown hanging on her face. 

“Do you have anything to do with this?” He Inquired with anger written all over his face. 

I don’t understand. Why would anyone even think that I have anything to do with this.” She responded with an innocent look hanging on her face.
