Chapter 40 

She may be soft hearted and stupid but that is just who she is. She can’t stand back and watch as people who are her family. die without doing anything. 

She won’t be able to live with that. 

Miles took a deep breath. “Fine. We won’t kill her.” 

Micheal looked at Miles as if he had gone crazy. Is he really just going to compromise like this? 

“What…. Miles did not give Micheal the chance to continue. 

I’ll take care of them myself but I won’t kill them. As for you, you should know that you are now our mate and the soon to be Luna. You can’t just let others trample on you and bully you from now on. No matter what, you’ll always have us on your side Miles said. 

Alexia felt touched when she heard this. All her life, she’d always felt like it’s just her against the entire world. 

Everyone blamed her for being not able to shift when she didn’t want to be born that way either. 

It was the first time someone told her that he’ll always be on her side. It made Alexia very happy. 

“L…thank you very much. Thank you for saving me and thank you for everything you’ve done for me up till this point” Alexia 

said. 

She knows that if it wasn’t for Micheal and Miles, she won’t even be alive right now to be asking for mercy for Kayla and her gang. She would have already died since that day. 

“You don’t need to thank us. We are just doing what we should do, In fact, I think that you should come live with us from now on Miles said. 

He frowned when he remembered her father’s attitude. Obviously, beta Ray doesn’t care about Alexia at all. 

What if he blames her for what happened to Kayla and than abuses her since the both of them live in the same house? 

Miles didn’t want to take such chances. He has to make sure that that horrible family of hers won’t even get the chance to get 

closer to her. 

“Live with you guys? Why should I do that? I can…I can still live with my father before the ceremony right?‘ Alexia asked. Even though she knows that she is now their mate, she still hasn’t fully accepted the role and the responsibilities that came 

with it. 

It will be really awkward if she went to live with them now. She wants to wait until she is comfortable enough with her new identity as their mate. 

“No. I definitely won’t let you live with your Father. His attitude towards you is too bad. I already told you. Since you are now our mate, it’s our duty to protect you. I can’t let you live with someone who only blames you and who doesn’t care about your life. 

Besides, I’m sure that he won’t care that you won’t be living with me. He already knows that you are our mate. He knows that you are in the hospital but he didn’t drop by once. Why do you think such a person will mind if you live with him or not?” 

Miles asked. 

He didn’t mean to be rude to Alexia but he needs to let her see the truth of her family so that she will stop being delusional. They will never care about her so she needs to stop wasting her feelings on them. 

“I…I understand. I will live with you guys immediately I get discharged‘ Alexia said. 

She took a deep breath. She needs to accept the fact that her family will never care about her no matter how much she cares about them. They never wanted her to be a part of their lives. 

In fact, they just wanted her gone as soon as possible. She needs to take her life into her hands instead of constantly waiting for them to change. They will never do that. 

“It’s all settled down. You should just stay here and recover. As for Kayla, I’m not going to kill her, but I can’t let her without any punishment. She has done too much. She went too far Miles said. 

Alexia nodded her head. She knows that she no longer has a say in this.

Miles and Micheal were standing outside of the hospital room. Alexia was still weak even though she already woke up so she immediately went back to sleep after they were done talking. 

“Are you really going to just let Kayla go like that? After all the things that she’s done? You can’t just forgive her because Alexia says so right?” Micheal asked. He knows his brother well. There is no way Miles will let someone like Kayla go normally. Alexia may be nice but Miles is the very opposite of Alexia. 

He will do everything and anything that he can to get revenge so why did he change his mind this time? 

Does Alexia already have such a big influence on him? 

“Don’t worry, Kayla is not going to get away with the things that she’s done. If we let her off this time, she will feel like she’s on top of the world and that she can do just about anything and get away with it. I won’t kill her, but this doesn’t mean that she won’t regret her actions” Miles said. His eyes were cold. He was very different from the person who was inside with Alexia just now.
