Loveless Marriage novel Chapter 122

"Yeah, I still have some work in hand. I'll be back later."

She guessed he may probably go home in wee hours, but she wasn't his wife now so she shouldn't act too concerned. Staying silent for a few seconds, she then pretended to be polite and said: "You should go home earlier. I'll hang up. "

"...Okay." Christian nodded slightly. He seemed to be very dissatisfied with her answer, as there was an unexplainable reluctance in his tone.

Not until Isabella hung up did she think of the apartment he rent for him. She wanted to call him back and question him about it, but considering that he was still busy at work right now, she stopped.

Forgot it. She may question him next time.

When Isabella returned to the room, everyone was already drunk, laughing and chatting with each other. Some were resting on sofa with their face flushed.

"How much have you drunk?" She nudged a girl in shock.

The girl hugged her waist and giggled, "Hehe …Miss Jones... You, you drink with us too."

"…"

Isabella turned to look at Minh, "I think you shouldn't take them to the KTV…"

It would be the best if they didn't vomit. How could they still sing?

"Alright, I also didn't expect them to have drunk so much." Minh held his forehead and pulled a face. His handsome face was flushed as he also drank a lot.

In the whole room, maybe Isabella was the only one who hadn't had a drink at all.

"Go pay the bill, and I'll wake them up."

"Alright."

Was that just her illusion?

A fear suddenly welled up in her heart as she guessed person she had just seen seemed to be the real Minh. But what about this one now?

Minh smiled at her, whose eyes were extremely bright at night, "Uh, you can drop me off at that intersection."

Looking at him, Isabella was in a daze for a moment, then turned back to look at the front and said: "Okay."

The car ran smoothly on the road, which was quiet and filled with a faint smell of alcohol.

The weird feeling that Isabella had just felt was still lingering in her heart. She couldn't help but look at him through the rearview mirror. Pretending to be casual, she asked: "Have you drunk too much?"

Maybe he was really drunk, as he was different from normal.
