Shawn took and opened it. Then he showed it to Isabella with a smile: "A friend gave it to my sister, but she isn't really into such kind of things, so I want to give it to you as a gift. You may need it in some formal occasions."
Inside the box, there was a luxurious and exquisite lady's watch. It was a classic silver watch and four sides of it were inlaid with diamonds. One could tell it worths a lot without even looking at the logo.
Isabella tried her best to stay calm and rejected: "Mr. Simons, I really can't accept such an expensive gift. You could give it to Mr. Smith, but it may cause some misunderstandings if you gave it watch to me."
Glancing at the watch, Christian didn't say anything.
"Expensive?" Shawn frowned in confusion, then explained in a funny tone, "Don't overthink of it. I've already felt guilty for letting you send me off after you got injured. it's just a small gift, which isn't not worth much money. I already felt it abrupt for sending you flowers to your company, and haven't even had the time to make an apology."
Flowers?
Christian habitually squinted his eyes a bit. He glanced at Isabella, then at Shawn, laughing and saying causally: "Mr. Simons, anyone could tell your watch values at least a hundred thousand. If you gave it to her, what would Mr. Smith say? With the flowers you sent her, someone may think you wanna be her sugar daddy or something."
Isabella's face flushed, feeling immediately embarrassed.
But she was flushed due to anger. Whether or not he said it on purpose, did he have to make her feel awkward?
He even spoke 'sugar daddy' out loud. Did he just forget that he he wanted her to quit her job and that he would raise her at home?
She really couldn't help but secretly give him an angry look.
However, Christian didn't even look at her back seriously.
